Hi Trev once again you have produced a stunning video mate However I did not expect anything else ..you have always made videos that are interesting and very informative and a great pleasure to watch.. In fact you have made this very old narrow boater remember happier times.. . Spent on the canals with family members who sadly passed away many years ago..it's hard for me to remember them these days .. If it wasn't for you and others taking the time to produce videos of the canals I think all my memories would be lost so it's a massive thank you from me . At the very beginning of this video I remembered my grandfather operating this lock And thet was over sixty years ago .. people like yourself are keeping the history of the canals alive . every video is a page in canal life history So be very proud of the part you are playing in this as my grandfather would say remember the good times for the bad times are a thing you should never remember.. I have always lived my life by this .and to be honest I have never felt depressed .or even alone .I always looked around at the wildlife and realised that I was blessed to be able to see The wonder of this .all around me . ask yourself one question how many of your friends have ever seen the things that you have on the canals..???? How many have seen a stag calling out for a mate in the morning mist. Or a fawn being born or a kingfisher diving for fish..???? Now you know what I mean by not being alone on your travels .. I hope that your channel gets the recognition that it truly deserves..I am and always have looked forward to watching your next video.

No I have turned around today. I was intending to go up the Erewash Canal, then do the Soar navigation to get back to Rugby by October. The Erewash and the Soar keep getting stoppages so I am going the short way down the Coventry and N. Oxford. I have the boat booked in for blacking.

@@TrevsTravelsByNarrowboat , you might not be too far away. I'm at Atherstone and moving on to Nuneaton soon, with a trip up the Ashby. But I might be around Rugby for part of October. It would be great to hook up if possible for a beer or two, so I'll keep you posted.

I have recently had a replacement mic. It was not switching to the rear mic properly and staying on the front mic when I am talking behind the camera. I hope the replacement switches over when I tell it to.
