How is Ed Harris gonna gush over Anthony Hopkins when Ed Harris is himself a legend? Well played, Ed Harris.
@victorpradha99462 жыл бұрын
Greatness recognizes greatness. Hopkins maybe in a league all his own. His role in Remains of the Day and Dr. Ford in Westworld are perhaps his two pinnacle performances. I liked him as Hannibal Lector but frankly his portrayal as Ford is so incredibly nuanced and multi-layered.

Best? Oldest. But I would put Wright well up there, at Harris' level. Did you see him in Angels in America.
@markmauk82316 жыл бұрын
Al M I meant best. If you would have a little bit of appreciation for what Ed Harris has done in his carreer so far then you would share my opinion. Jeffrey Wright is great, no question but he has to achieve what Harris did and create as many great characters as him. Then when this day has come I might call him equal.
@althesmith6 жыл бұрын
Ed has been rather type-cast as the quiet, tough guy since the 70's. And he is superb in that role, no doubt, whether he has been wearing the black hat or the white hat, no pun intended. But I do think Wright has slightly greater versatility of character. But with actors as with beers, the best is always a matter of taste. And neither one can come up to Mel Gib...sorry, couldn't keep a straight face for that...

I can guarantee you, Anthony Hopkins enjoyed working with Marsden and Wright. Harris is the only one who can make Hopkins feel even a slight twinge of intimidation. (Despite the fact that they’ve already worked together and are friendly and know what to expect). That scene with them sitting together in the bar, one of the best scenes in the history of TV.

Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins have worked together in the past. Harris is also a pretty reserved person, he never talks much. He was probably happy to not have to talk. Also questions like this are pretty dumb, what are they gonna say "we hated it! he's horrible!" we all know he's a lovely man and amazing actor.

Hey everyone, I'm a professional director and producer and I'm gonna be directing this TV series called SpiderWorld. It stars a big black spider and a big brown spider and I'll be directing them, so they'll be even better at acting. I'll tell them to get the fuck out my bedroom because they have been there for like a week now and won't move for some unknown reason. Directed by Alec Jones and actors big black spider and big brown spider. Coming out July 2018
