Season 4 has been absolutely SUPERB so far! Best season since Season 1 for sure. Aaron Paul has been really outstanding but really the whole cast has been, esepcially Tessa Thompson and Thandiwe Newton. I'm so deeply intrigued by Christina's storyline and how that eventually will tie back in to Halores' world.

My biggest issue with this series right now is the casting of Aaron Paul. I swear he looks out of place and don’t even give the vibes of the kinda character he’s supposed to be. So out of place. I could literally suggest at a 100 different actors and you can use your imagination.

I agree and its the reason why S3 is the only season I dont rewatch. While I liked him better this season because he plays off of Maeve better than he did Delores on S3, I find myself comparing him to James Marsden's Teddy who has what they call "leading man material".

@@bjt0056 I think the comparison is unfair because you are comparing a droid to a human. Teddy, Dolores, Maeve, Hector, while able to show emotion, they are still AI and they carry themselves that way, even when they have the ability to empathize. All these actors are able to play their characters with a degree of unattachment. Caleb is a human, he is supposed to look out of place in a world of AI beings. That is why he runs with a million emotions and expressions but given his life experience he's also just traumatized, he lives his life on a PTSD mode all the time. Now we have the droid version of Caleb but unlike the others, he was made based on someone (like Bernard was made based on Arnold) so he will carry with him, as Bernard does, all the memories, thoughts, traumas, desires, of the human the was based on. Unless he's able to turn that part of himself off, Aaron Paul will continue to play his character as a more human version than the other AI characters. For the most part, that is what Jeffrey Wright has done as well.

The dialog this season is terrible. It's filled with tropes and cliches, and the plot has doubled in on itself so many times it's become laughable. WW was great for a couple of seasons, but that was a while ago. Anyone looking forward to this every week now has to realize that this is just another GOT situation, just winding down and falling apart.

Judging by the other comments here, you appear to be an 'outlier' in your opinion. Not sure about your surprise that a show that focuses on 'loops' be they human or host should occasionally double down on plot lines. However, unlike GOT, the writers of this show planned it from start to finish (5 seasons total) from before Ep1 was shot...so they know/knew where they were headed from the outset, very much unlike GOT.
