@VixeyTeh3 жыл бұрын
@@lauraisabella2364 you expressed it correctly. The Achilles heel is indeed a ledgendary tale of weakness shared by Gods* and humans. *Achilles was the son of a king and a sea nymph, when he was born, his mother held him by the heel and dipped him into the river Stixx where he would gain the protection of the underworld. He gained this invulnerability everywhere but the tendon his mother's hand had covered. Being of kings blood, fae born and underworld blessing, he was a demi-god. Strong and invunerable, but able to grow old and die. He lived a full life of many tales but his final one was at the Trojan War where Achilles, believing himself to be invincible, he killed the God Apollo's son. As Paris of Troy fired arrows upon Achelles, Apollo in vengence, guided the arrow through Achilles' heel, killing him.

@Rotsuoy8 жыл бұрын
Tuvan Uner We may not mean the same DC. I meant Drawception. :P
@kayeplaguedoc90548 жыл бұрын
I figured that's what you meant. ^_^ Drawception is the first thing I think of when I hear "DC," especially since I don't live in DC. Who are you on DC? Or do you have the same name? It isn't familiar but I imagine I might have seen you somewhere. And yeah, I'm loving the show. I was skeptical at first since I didn't see where they could really go with the film, it's a film I adore but it didn't exactly had a lot of hidden depths I could imagine being expanded upon in a TV remake. Though I obviously found out it's less of a remake and more of a case where it uses the original fims core idea as a spring board for something new. And I was pretty much hooked from the intro onwards. As a mechanical engineer, I like seeing complex engineering in action. :P
@Rotsuoy8 жыл бұрын
Kaye Faye I was 'BigMommaWolf' on DC, but due to recent events I had to leave. So far I'm enjoying the show, regardless of it being a remake. I feel like it's different enough from the original film that it's more of a 'revivification' than a 'remake,' just like you said 'using the film's core idea as a spring board for something new.' I'm getting more involved in the long narrative stories so shows like Mr.Robot, Longmire, and of course WestWorld really keep me enthralled. I like how in long narrative stories you can watch the characters grow and evolve and even contradict themselves where as, in movies, you don't get that opportunity in two hours! Hehe.
@kayeplaguedoc90548 жыл бұрын
Aww you left? :( Darn. I actually have a hard time getting into the longer narrative TV shows, there are always exceptions but I've never been huge on the TV format and I tend to be pressed for time between my wife and daughters and all that. I've always preferred books and cinema. But there are exceptions and this is the first big one to come along in some time for me, though there have been some shows I've considered looking into trying, I guess if the cancer has done anything it's made a little more room for such things. :/ But les not dwell on that.

Season 3 and onward don’t exist to me. I really want to see the original 1973 film Westworld. I heard it’s amazing as well.

They should have made the story unfold slower. First season should have been about the park and that the audience (us) wouldn't know that they all were robots in the park and slowly figure out who is a robot and who isn't. Then the second season should have been about the hosts gaining awareness that they are robots and in a fictional world. Then the third season should have been about the secrets of the park and the hosts gaining more information. Then the fourth season should have been about the hosts escaping but with less corny action scenes and violence. Then the fifth season could have been outside the park..

Idk why but when I hear this song I can see a replay of our entire history as a race... from when we started walking on two legs to discovering fire to starting agriculture etc etc... this song kinda represents that entire sequence to me... the end of the song and its' eery dissonance makes me wonder of how we fall as a species... as a race... makes me a little bit emotional ngl.
