Thank you Mary. I am so fond of hand-crafted felt. It's part magic.

It's 2019 and I just found this video. How did you do with your Kickstarter campaign?
@CherylBrunetteTV5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sonia. It was funded at a little over my asking amount. I asked for 12,500 and got 13+K which was enough to buy the kit and build the shell. About 60% of the money came from my knitting community and the rest from family and friends, even though I did not ask them. My son gave $3500 and that put us over the top on the last day. I have gradually invested another $8K or to install electricity, a heat pump, flooring, etc. Almost all of the labor was volunteer. I love the space and am very grateful.

Kim probably uses warm water because it's not fun to have cold wet hands. Just a thought. :)

mark lee We used gloves and very hot water (as hot as we could stand it) when we did the wet felting for the hats. It's only when I use the washing machine that I use cold water because it's my only choice.

In the video, you mention that you use cold water, because you don't have hot water to your washer and that Kim says it's fine. I was just commenting on that fact. I was thinking more along the lines of the "Cutting the end off the ham to fit in someone else's oven..." kind of thinking might be going on with those that claim cold water won't work. I have never felted anything, and may never, but at least I know I have options. Thanks for the videos. I've watched them all. My book arrived yesterday. I hope your new studio turns out great. You crack me up. :)
