Wet Molding Leather - Creating a camera pouch

Another attempt at wet molding leather.
Beware - it includes tons of beginner mistakes.
The pouch is made for one compact camera in particular, although several may fit.
The definite design again developed in the process.
The smallest things like how to attach the buckle, or which buckle to use, always take me ages to decide.
But they are of course not small things, but defining design decisions.
This time i tried to cover the whole process

I really enjoy watching your videos and learning along with you. Could you share some details about the leather you used here? I am particularly interested in how wet molding might affect any dyes or treatments of the leather.

That's very nice! And a good question, because i usually don't know very much about the leather i use. I sometimes buy scraps here and there. Sometimes vegtan and sometimes chrome. Anyway :) I guess this has to be a vegtan, and about the dye, i would say the wet molding definitely has an effect. Where the leather has to stretch the most it will light up and in the corners it will darken, generally. Other than that at least in this case it didn't change too much. But i think it also depends on the time you leave it in the water. I have a knife sheath from the same leather, wet formed, which looks quite different (it's on my insta, if you're interested) I assume it would also depend on the kind of dye. Water based is probably different.. I also tried it with a quite soft leather, that isn't purely vegtan i think, and it changed quite a lot. I have to get some info what that was exactly... Sorry for the long answer that isn't really an answer :D
