Wow nice! That looks super fun! This is so relaxing watching you bike cause I don't live near a forest and cant do it myself:)
@MattLowneToo3 жыл бұрын
Not all MTB trails are in forests! This is actually way closer to an urban area than you'd expect, it's called "Cann Woods", you can see on google maps that it's actually pretty close to the city!

Yuck - good effort for getting out on a day like that! I was riding there today and you'll be pleased to hear it's all dried up, the trails are running perfectly and the forecast is good for the next couple of weeks. So now's your chance to get some faster runs on video without carrying around 30kg of mud and being assaulted by slippery roots.

Thanks for the Bike Tour. Come ride in Alberta the deer are less interested in riding than our Black and Grizzly Bears outside of Calgary.

Cool vid. Long time main channel subscriber only came here today as you mentioned mtb in your last video. Me and my mates do a lot of riding up haldon so let me know if you ever fancy riding up there and we'll show your around the locals routes as the main trails aren't the best up there.

Nice one buddy, that second trail you tried (vasinator) is closed but only the very first part, you can actually access it from the entrance a few feet down from there :)

Ayy HTRider, love your vids man. Thanks for the heads-up, I figured that it must still be open to some extent after seeing other Cann Woods KZbinrs continue posting runs of it :P

@@MattLowneToo Thanks dude, also watched one of your other vids and turns out you have been through Spanish side without realising 😂. I’m going to Gawton tomorrow on the hardtail so wish me luck 😩

Ribble make some beautiful frames. How are you enjoying yours? I'm waiting on a road bike from them at the mo, but the HT Trail 29 definitely tempts me too!
@MattLowneToo2 жыл бұрын
Honestly? I would not recommend this bike. The rear dropouts are only secured by 4 very tiny screws, that frequently loosen themselves (even with threadlocker applied) and cause the bike to creak. This was confirmed by the local bike shop. Ribble make great road bikes, but in retrospect I would buy a MTB from a company with more pedigree in making offroad bikes

@@MattLowneToo Ah man it's a shame to hear that Matt. It's a road bike I've ordered so hopefully it won't have similar problems. I've only been waiting for it since July 😅

can u record/upload in 4k? gopro 1440p is pretty bad ALSO gopro tip: if you have a lot of unwanted motion blur, rasie the ISO limit to 1600 or so and darken the image instead by using the ev comp, set it to -1 or -.5 (lower for brighter scenes)it improves video quality a lot

Are mountain bike trails in the UK always this muddy?
@MattLowne2 жыл бұрын
when it's rained, they are! It varies depending on the region and the trail itself, but generally UK trails are quite muddy over winter. A lot of MTB sold in the UK opt for much chunkier tyres so that they can gain more traction going through mud

With the editing part you mentioned on your discord, I suggest you use more of a prerecorded voiceover over using actual audio. Instead of constantly using the camera mic you should only add snippets of audio if something funny happens while most is dominated by music or voiceover.
@MattLowne3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've done videos like this before, e.g. my Plymouth cycling showdown video. I'm just experimenting with different approaches atm, but I think I agree with your point

Nonetheless, fun clips and a very cool video, looking forward to more!

@@MattLowne I agree wit Szu, some voice-over combined with music would make for a nice video. Maybe you could also include parts where you don’t talk while on the bike but record the audio while riding so we hear the bike and nature instead of you talking(not trying to suggest you’re not interesting, don’t get me wrong).But to switch it up it could be nice. Just parts of trail where you focus on riding as opposed to trying to talk over it while riding, makes it harder for you too.
