As pole dancer, IT'S NOT A STRIPPER POLE!! The friend is petty for calling the landlord. Also there's no reason for the landlord to enforce no pole, if they would fight it with the landlord and tenant board, the landlord wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Most poles are tension based, so it doesn't damage the apartment.
@amanda5nicole
@amanda5nicole 3 күн бұрын
Like Keith said, it might be unsafe to have it by the hallway. You also need to mount it under a beam, which might not be available in another spot in the living room.

On the first one i would say if you want to keep the pole move it to your room, if youre in a roomate situation the shared space of a living room should be that shared. If you have a hobby like that keep it on your space just like zach said you wouldnt put your bo-flex big ass workout machine smack in the middle of the living room
@amanda5nicole
@amanda5nicole 2 күн бұрын
I mean, I don't see why a bo-flex couldn't be in a living room. As a pole dancer, poles need to be mounterd under a beam and on top of that, for safety reasons, it's importantto have 4 ft clearance around the room. Considering that bedrooms are often small, that might not be an option. Not to mention the fact that the living room also fits teh couch and the TV. The other roommate was jsut being picky as to where she wanted the tv. If they didn't all fit, then I'd understand the need for a conversation, but why would TV win over an exercise machine? Maybe the pole dancer doesn't watch tv.

39:17 as someone who is fat and has mobility issues I don’t agree. I try to not leave my seat as much as possible but if I need to get out my only option is to use the seat in front of me. And I give people the same leeway. You never know who has something going on.
@amandakesterson224
@amandakesterson224 3 күн бұрын
I'm too short to reach the overhead bins. My options are either grab the seats to avoid falling, or pee in my seat, which I assume no one wants. The few times I didn't touch the seats I fell, one time hurting someone in the process. I keep it as infrequent as I can, but we all gotta pee.

Same, I'm also fat, my husband is as well, also very tall. Neither of us put our seats back, because if someone puts theirs back into us, we can no longer use our tray tables because they hit our belly (people are mean and just say :that's your problem!", but they're jerks. Also, much harder to get out of your seat, and for my husband, it often hits his already crunched legs and it's extremely uncomfortable. I think we all have a duty as human beings to understand how our actions affect others.

Not all seats on the plane recline we do not all have equal space. When I was in the last row and couldn’t recline and a woman with the entire row to herself in front of me reclined her chair then proceeded to sleep across the 3 chairs I was ready to fight
@candyak9985
@candyak9985 2 күн бұрын
Agreed! This is why I never recline my seat because obviously the person at the back of the plane has nowhere to go. I *cannot* understand why other people don't see the issue. It's like everyone agreed to have this attitude of "I'm suffering so I'm going to make you suffer too," but that wouldn't be acceptable in any other context. It's mind-boggling!

Okay as a short person I need to recline on a plane. I wish I could draw a diagram for this. But basically the part of the chair where the back meets the seat is at an angle and it scoops forward to create lumbar support - but the "lumbar support" hits me in the mid back so it's actually shoving me forward so my back isn't at 90°. I'm sitting there like this _\ I'm not trying to be a jerk to people sitting behind me! It's just so unfair for everyone how airlines are allowed to cram us in there.

I’m team pole dancer. Roommate had all this time to say something about the pole but waited until after the couch and the TV were involved. Plus, it sounds like the TV was already in the best place. A TV nook is selfish when the living room is for everyone. If the pole is already in the corner, why move it to make it less convenient to watch TV? Also, who’s to say it’s JUST for working out? What if she is a dancer and needs to rehearse to make money for rent? The 26 should know better. #teampoledancer The Try Guys are wrong for this take.

For all the plane things, I think the key is just courtesy & communication. If you need to grab the seat to get up, just say sorry or excuse me, or even tell the person in front ahead of time that you'll need to. Same thing w/parents, etc. Just communicate the basics & people are so much willing to be patient & forgiving.

Yall are batshit insane for siding with the landlord caller in that first story. It's not even her couch to move. She didn't buy it, but she has the audacity to demand where it should be placed? Abso-fucking-lutely not. The only reason it was escalated to "don't use my couch" was because she called the landlord. That means no matter where they put the couch OP can't have her pole in the apartment at all now because of the snitch. I'd make her move tf out, especially if she was the only one that had an issue with the pole.

Seriously agree. The pole was put in the corner, out of the way. The freaking snitch roommate wanted the pole moved to block part of the hallway so *she* could have a cozy corner to watch tv...on someone else's couch! I don't think so.
