Weta - HRYC Double Damned 2011

Here's a 4 minute video of the Weta trimaran racing the Double Dammed race on the Colombia River, hosted by the Hood River Yacht Club.
This section is one of the windiest parts of the race at the hatchery with gusts over 35kts and big waves. After the jibe in this sequence, a big gust hits and the boat excellerates to about 20 knots boat speed.
There were 22 boats racing, all keelboats; Melges 23 & Moore 24. The Weta was the only dinghy/multihull entered. We were the third boat to finish with a time of 4:21.17.

Looks like you guys know what you are doing :) very good footage. I am intrigued by the Weta just wondering if it will be a good replacement for when I get too old and tired for my RS700?

sits pretty low - is it supposed to be like that? More lift from the hydrofoil would have been a bit quicker?
