Definitely do this again. Love to hear some of the background info on how these works of art came together. Too many beautiful sculpts to pick a favourite but I always loved the Kong V Rex bust

What a fun video - thank you for posting it. I absolutely love that Richard and Dan know the names of all the people that were involved in each piece - real human beings did the sculpting, and the modeling, and the manufacturing and so many other things. This video awesomely showcased the pieces and also the human creativity and team that went into each one!

I will never forget visiting this room back in 2005 with Red Carpet Tours! This was amazing. Thank you again for welcoming us, Richard. My favourite statue is Thranduil with the sword. His posture is amazing.

Hi Dan and Richard, yes please do more of these. It really helps you to connect with the fans of your artwork. Great seeing you both again. As far as something that I would like to hear you talk about, it would be the very first LOTR piece that you created back in 2001, the Saruman and palantir statue. I would really enjoy hearing the backstory on its creation and why it was chosen to lead out the LOTR line.

I was lucky enough to own some weta pieces a few years ago and my favorite was rivendell it was absolutely amazing and the details as well. Sadly I had to part company with my weta pieces as I lost my job. Hopefully one day I will be able to build it up again.

One of my first Weta collectibles and still one of my favorites is the "Mines of Moria" environment. So many amazing scenes captured in intricate detail in one piece is simply amazing. It can be viewed from just about any angle and side. Truly a very special collectible in my LOTR collection.

Just love the Doctor Who set that was done, have them all. The open Dalek plus Davros with Tom Baker in an iconic moment are real stand outs. Superb. For me no one beats Weta.

I have just on... A "Venatosaurus Attack", One of 3000... ... although of all the others I have seen, they are all painted... Mine is not. Are there a large amount of unpainted ones... (Unfortunately the tail tip is damaged, but otherwise its fine). I get the odd suggestion to come have a look from the guys I fix some of the Stone St equipment for, I should really take up the offer next time I fix their compressors / Diesel Heaters etc... q8) Edit: My Cousins partner T helped build a scale model of the King Kong ship Venture that I believe didn't get used in the movie in the end...

We need another Thranduil collectible the other ones sold out so fast a lot of us missed out on them. When a secondhand one comes up the price is ridiculous. I'd like to see one of Thranduil on his elk coming across the bridge with orcs hanging on his antler's and Thranduil's swords swinging in the air like in the one scenes in the movie . Hey if you still have Peter Jackson's ear a lot of us would love to see a movie about Thranduil. It doesn't have to be a trilogy but it has to be with Lee Pace.

My Favorite statue is the dwarven war chariot, slicing through poorly-positioned trolls.... Seriously I have no room left (nor money) for any of your great works. What I REALLY want now are voice boxes - small plastic boxes that play a famous quote when the button is pressed , like " You're LATE ! ... A wizard is never late, Frodo .. etc etc " This box is placed near the Gandalf, Frodo on Cart master piece. BTW, did you see my repurposed TV cabinet with the Cart in in, fits just great.

Weta went from a shop that didn't know anything from shooting miniatures to being one of the best in the world after the lord of the rings movies.

I sincerely hope Richard Taylor has been handsomely rewarded for his incredible efforts at Weta Workshop. Seeing as Peter Jackson has sold his soul to Zuckerberg and his ghastly Metaverse project, one would hope that Richard isn't guzzling the same foul jism that Peter is.
