This song is so special, I think it's the one that stuck with me the longest after the album was released. Almost a year ago I took a walk in a small forest to meditate and connect myself with the music. When this song came on shuffle I just stopped. I sat down on the woods, the sun was setting and my mind just absorbed completely the song. I didn't want to get up and walk back home, it was one of the most beautiful and truly reflective golden hours I've experienced. The last 2 minutes of the song are magical. Thank you Weyes Blood

this song reminds me of a poem by cesare pavese that goes like this: “And then we cowards who loved the whispering evening, the houses, the paths by the river, the dirty red lights of those places, the sweet soundless sorrow- we reached our hands out toward the living chain in silence, but our heart startled us with blood, and no more sweetness then, no more losing ourselves on the path by the river- no longer slaves, we knew we were alone and alive.”

What’s your favorite Lyric Sang? [Verse 1] Look around There's nothing left to keep By the bottles that broke you From the solace you seek Didn't know you were one in a million Stuck inside the wall I'm wondering how we ever got here With no fear, we'd fall [Chorus] Taking hold of our eyes Beauty, a machine that's broken Running on a million people trying Don't cry, it's a wild time to be alive [Verse 2] Turn around it's time for you to slowly Let these changes make you more holy and true Otherwise, it just made it complicated for nothing Warm and cold, a place for us too far [Chorus] Living in the rising sun Our life, a feeling that's moving Running on a million people burning Don't cry, it's a wild time to be alive [Bridge] It already happened Nothing you want to change more Heaven found that life went down Everyone's broken now and no one knows just how We could have all gotten so far from truth [Chorus] Love, pain, loving you Everyone knows you just did what you had to Burning much more than ever before Burning down the door It's a wild time to be alive

her voice is silk and her music is art, i love this music video so much, especially the part near the end where it speeds up, and the entire music video is played over and over again on loop. it seems so reflective of the fast paced nature of life, and human life. i love that it shows the balance between death and decay in the form of glorified neon mud, and then also rebirth and baptism in the river, and the nude human form of naked women wandering through the trees rooted within land of untouched earth. in the last minute of the clip you see all the elements of life flash before your eyes
