New York Mets beat Atlanta Braves and take over the number one Wild Card - Rico Brogna Episode 310

A lot happened on Friday night. Mets win which puts them in 2nd place in the NL East, 1st place in the NL Wild Card. On top of that they made a trade for Ryne Stanek to bolster the bullpen. Meanwhile, Kodai Senga returns, but may have to go back on the IL.

Their is something different about this braves team. The players have totally given up. I don't think I would waste any time and money on a bandaid fix at the trade deadline. What is amazing about this offense is that we are doing it without Alonso having a stellar year, Pete's been mediocre (on his standards) this season. This lineup with a couple of exceptions, is capable top to bottom. Even McNeil has become "happy Jeff". If we had this line up with the 2022 pitching, this is a WS team.

Forget Winker.... forget that Met fans hate him....he's not that good....he's just a guy that beats the Mets. Add him and he will play like he does against the rest of the league. I'm not impressed. Id honestly rather have Conforto.....even if he's not quite the player he once was.
