I’m fully remote and prefer it. Some of my coworkers opted to have a hybrid schedule, but I love rolling out of bed at the last minute and missing rush hour traffic, especially when it’s raining/sleeting. I have twenty pair of black leggings, and that’s what I wear most days with a t-shirt or tank top. I bought a multi color pack to mix things up but find I still primarily wear black, even in triple digit temps. I only really keep my hair done to make sure I look presentable during video meetings. I also have blazers and sweaters to wear during meetings.

Same girl! Lol fully remote is perfect for those days when I don’t feel like wearing anything other than pjs 😂 . I typically wear nicer looking loungewear sets on days when I have client calls.

I’m self employed and both my team and I are fully remote. We love the freedom and flexibility of working from home. It really helps with my work-life balance💜

I have a hybrid schedule where I go into the office on Thursdays. Our company does have different Project Managers levels and I'm looking to level up myself.

I was wondering if you have/could do a video on the education/programs/schooling you did in order to obtain your PM job? I’m extremely confused with what to even do with my life as I was anticipating going in to the medical field prior to the pandemic. I’m now 22 and I am really loving the idea of PM, but I can’t find an exact path on how to do it. A lot of people seem to have a business degree, but then so many people also say getting a degree in business is a waste of money. I’m struggling 😥🥺 thank you for any help in advance.

Hi Logan! Sorry I’m just seeing your comment. I will be making a video on this soon. I don’t think you necessarily have to go down a specific educational path to become a PM. I originally wanted to be a PA then switched to healthcare admin then became a PM after getting my MBA and doing various contract work for small businesses.

I am currently a fully remote Implementation Project Management in Healthcare. I just accepted a role with another major Health system as a Sr. PM and this position will be hybrid (Wednesday and Thursday in the office) once this new variant is controlled. For the career progression and job title, I can sacrifice being hybrid for a couple of years.

Hi! If you’re working as a full time employee you can probably work as a freelance PM before and after your full time job but I don’t think it’s doable to work as a full time PM at multiple companies.

Hi ! I have a project based business model. This allows me to dedicate enough time to each client and still work full-time on top of the million of things I have going on lol. If you’re looking to become a DOO you should definitely look into Natalie Gringrich’s DOO certification.

Can I become a tech project manager without a tech background or coding skills? Do jobs prefer someone with tech background for the role? I am thinking of pursuing MSc in project management. Thanks for reading.

Yes, coding is not required to become a Tech PM at most companies. During your onboarding period you will be trained. So as long as you can articulate your previous experience in interviews then you should be able to land a Tech PM Role.

As a self employed consultant and freelance writer you can’t pay me enough to EVER go back to an office 😂 To get social time in I have lunch and breaks with my neighbors that work from home or I go to a cafe. I do not need to have to go to an office to be social lol so I definitely get it. Plus, you can’t travel or do anything if you’re stuck in an office setting

Depending on the type of roles you’ve previously held, I’m sure you already have plenty of transferrable skills. It’s all about highlighting your current skills on your resume and selling yourself in the interview.There are a few roles you can look into if you still feel like you don’t have enough experience such as project coordinator or junior project manager.
