Generally in the US women get sentenced to less time in prison for the same violence that men do. The driver will get the longest sentence and Kimberly will get a sentence, but I'm willing to bet it will be half as much as the driver, even though she was the instigator, the organizer and essentially set it all up. Its likely, those three kids if they never met Kimberly would not have done what they did. But will justice take that into account for sentencing Kimberly?

Update for anyone wondering, the driver and adult involved Elijah Stansell, was found guilty of first degree murder and given a mandatory life sentence. The juveniles appear to not have had their cases resolved yet, I wasn't able to locate any information regarding their sentences. @Jaiden_Anime_Shuns So tell me, what is the difference between, let's say, shoplifting between a 15 year old and a 30 year old, other than one of them is a minor? It's the same action. It's the same decision-making. The same result. It's the same damn crime. Age should not be a factor.

@@thepsychicspoon5984while I agree that crime is crime, each case is always going to be unique in their own way. However, regardless of the uniqueness of the situation, actions deliberately taken to cause harm to others should always be taken seriously. And when murder is at play, the concept of juvenile or adult should def be thrown out. A life is more valuable and sacred then anything else in the universe. Anyone who takes a life, should be prepared to have theirs taken away, be it life in prison or otherwise.

@thepsychicspoon5984 the decision making between 15 and 30 are the same? You're delusional! Not in a case like shoplifting. You can't compare shoplifting to Homicide/Premeditated. The correct decision was made for trail as adults in this situation, though this doesn't work across the board.

Militarization of police and taking away the "beat cop" where the cop is in one neighborhood and knows everyone, who is good and bad etc, and ignorance of the law are what have turned pur police into open air prison guards that care not for the citizens or their rights. They didn't call it the police academy back then.. So I take it one step further for ya! He also had to do college 2 degrees to include a masters degree to get this position. 1. A master's in Business 2. A master's Criminal Justice. I never said anything about him NOT doing those things. I just made the comment he started at age 17 and worked his way up. Also to work your way up back then was not that hard because the agency was no where near as large as it is now. So opportunities to move up, sponsors to help some move up was much easier back then. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know he had to go through various classes and schooling to get where he is today.

People need to have these talks with their children. Children need to have these talks with eachother. If you hit someone, knock someone down, start a physical altercation, things can get out of hand real fast and lives can be lost in many ways. I know someone who got sucker punched at a bar one night, fell backward and hit his head on a parking curb and that caused brain swelling and he passed away a few days later at the hospital. 😩

Adam Brown - The reason for that is most likely related to what the officer stated; Polk City is a small community with a minimal crime rate. This means that the officers of Polk City can focus all their resources at the task at hand-helping them gather facts and information quickly that then they can disclose to the community. In your average city the population count is bigger-which by extension means that there’s more crime. Due to that reason police resources are split, which severely slows them down. It’s because of that reason, and intel sensitive information, that big city officers usually keep tight lipped.
