I feel so privileged to have spent many of my summer vacations at the Pink Shell. So many memories made there. Old Florida is gone now and will never come back.

I stayed there a few times as well. Also worked a dairy queen and mango bay. Crazy to think a year and a half a go and 90% of the structures no longer exists 😢

Moved to Lehigh in 1980 spent a lot of time at Fort Myers Beach. It's a shame what happened to that Island after Ian went through

What a great video, makes me feel good that this was once a peaceful and secluded place. Thanks for the upload.👍👍

Great video. There's always a compromise between keeping an area livable and serene and encouraging business development to make it economically viable. This same process goes on all over the world.

Why haven't they cleaned up and rebuilt after Hurricane Ian? Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach are ruined.
