Mean spirited fat shaming is wrong, but fat criticism is not. It is scientifically unhealthy to be obese. I'm 80+ pounds overweight, and really need to do something about it. Props to Tom for doing an awesome job.

I had the gastric bypass in 2002. I was 280. I'm only 5.2 inches. 18 years later I am down to 125. The surgery was the best gift to myself and my family. It is a scary and difficult decision to make. I don't mention the surgery unless someone sees a old picture of me. If the ask I tell them. It is a personal decision that a person has to make on their own. You

I am so happy he is feeling so good and healthy.. I’ve been a fan since day one- don’t even live in the area anymore.. but he’s one of my hero’s. I used to attend his Fermi Lab events and they were a huge impact on me....It’s not easy to take control and do what he did...and he’s done a great job !!!

I had it in 2002. Went from 380 to 135. Just a wonderful new life it gave me. I was on my way to knee/hip replacement and diabetes, or heart issues. I had gastric bypass.
