WGN Commercials + Newsbreak, 5 Minutes to Live By, Sign Off (January 1, 1979)

Happy new year! For my first upload of 2024, here's some WGN broadcasting from 44 years ago as of the upload date.

Now this is something to get happy about! I'm always looking to see vintage WGN. I don't know what it is, but WGN captures those childhood memories like no other Chicago local station for me. I love whenever you can see those basic slides used on station promos and this upload has a lot to savor. Thank you so much for having or finding this and uploading it! Who knew back when we were kids that time machines would become a reality.

I remember as far as 1980 when WGN-TV used to show not only The Marx Bros. movie "Duck Soup", but also the Best of Your Show Of Shows on New Year's Eve night.

I have a bunch of night flight uploaded on my google drive and some FM-TV. I have a partial episode of Laugh Trax on the Sat Nite Live w/ Chevy Chase tape on the atlanta folder feat. Howie Mandel plus 2 music perf. with English Beat & Psychedelic Furs on the MTV (November 1982) etc tape also on google drive.
