Visual list: 1) Take the pre-assessment right away 2) review end-of-chapter material 3) a pass is a pass 4) when accelerating, prepare to fail a few objective assessments 5) put in the hours (several at a time instead of bits and pieces)

Even though this video is about a year old, this was still super helpful as I start my degree today with WGU. Thank you for posting this. I feel a little more confident now. My Mentor has been really helpful as well. I dropped out 2 years ago to take a break because I couldn't balance my work and school. I wish I would've seen this video back then.

I am so grateful to have found your video. I just experienced my first fail and I was shocked and gutted, just as you said. I've never failed a test in my whole life before now and this was material I thought I knew. I even read the entire book, and then when I got my fail I was so upset and panicked, so I came online to look for tips, and found your videos. I've been in this course for nearly two months and I just want it to be over already. I wanted to get done quickly like so many others, so I am feeling really aggravated and disappointed in myself. It really didn't help that the testing center place had technical difficulties right in the middle of my exam and it was so long before I could get in again that all the stuff I crammed in my short term memory seemed to just vanish. Ugh. Acronyms, I hate them! I had taken the Pre-Assessment and made sure I knew everything it suggested I study and then the main assessment didn't even ask me any of that, and the parts I tested well on in the pre-assessment were the ones I didn't pass on the main one. Very discouraging, so now I'm going back through all the sections but I will do all the end of chapter stuff this time and follow your other tips. Part of me thought maybe I made a mistake enrolling, but because of your video, I feel my motivation renewed. Thank you!

Thanks buddy! I'm on the right path but definitely taking longer than one class a week. It's much easier said than done. But using your Saturday method of grinding it out and taking pre-assessment right away is a big help. I've been doing about 1 class every 3 weeks, but in the beginning I did 2 weeks a class. So as long as I can get back to that and finish in 3 terms I'll be ok...in month 5 right now so really trying to get faster for my last month and beginning of second term. Thanks again for the tips!

Congrats! I started in January and have pretty much done a class per week as well. Most of the classes are straight forward and can be finished in a week or less depending on what is expected in the OA / PA. At this point I'm finished with all the certs except for two, but those should be easy to knock out as well. I do think a few of the courses were not very helpful in preparing for some of the certs, and I would highly recommend people to look into some udemy courses to supplement the WGU stuff. If all goes well I should finish in July or August, but will have all the way until December to complete. Just can't get all of them done in the 6 months timeframe with full time job and kids on top of it. Too bad you can't take additional courses and complete another degree with the extra time. I've asked my Mentor about getting a second or third degree and he said it doesn't work that way. So I'll wrap up my degree with plenty of time left on the clock, but it will be worth it I suppose.

I start the BS in Cloud Computing program in 2 days, so I'm trying to prepare as much as possible so that I can hopefully accelerate a good number of classes. Currently I've laid out a 3 term plan, but I'm really hoping to do it in 2. I'll have to go through the rest of your videos to get your take on the courses since the BS IT has a lot of overlap with the BS CC degree.

Depending on how well you know the material, it can be as easy as doing the practice exam, and then the exam. So if you have relevant experience, or have educated yourself independently on certain subjects, you can technically pass some of your classes in one day.
