If you really think about it... Their dreads tend to be the more sane ones. At least the older ones. The new ones tend to be insane for a really long time before they randomly come out of it. That's when they want to die.

@Ironheart236 I'm talking about a one-on-one fight between one of the 'weaker' TMCs and a Dreadnaught. The average roll on 2D6 is 7, so if you roll even slightly below average for armor pen with a Tyrant you aren't going to seriously damage it. If I take my Grey Knights to the table again (new codex plz) I know I'm going to be heading for any Tyrant that's not Swarmlord with my big shiny dread, unless it's got a partner.

I was hoping it would have something 'nice'' to say about a Hive Tyrant ("The Tyrant?! At last a foe that may free me!" or somesuch), but I suppose those aren't very good against walkers anyways. On tabletop they, Mawlocs, and Tervigons struggle against... any walker that's not a Sentinel, but in the fluff Tyrants are way up there regarding threat level. Unless it's Commisar Cain fighting one, but he's a Living Saint of Tha Empra (according to some Tallarns anyways) and doesn't count.

It's too bad that Chaos Dreadnoughts in the tabletop games aren't this cool. Their "Fire Frenzy" attack when you roll a 1 on a 6-sided dice targets the nearest unit with ranged weapons, friend or foe, and fire at it twice.

This depicts a Chaos Dreadnought perfectly. Where as a Space Marine Dreadnought is blessed with the possibility of a second chance at life, the Chaos Dreadnought is in eternal agony within his Dreadnought shell. There's nothing grand about being a Chaos Dreadnought ;p
