Mazzy, great version of Whack-A-Mole. Everyone was much more focused on showing albums than usual. I think it was the combination of you three. Thanks, Chris

That Lennon autograph is fake! :))) Glad you all had fun. But Beck's "Mutations" is obviously the best Beck LP. Wtf? Haven't seen that Analog Africa yet

Oh dear Archivist...yes, my first reaction to hearing that Prince record on RSD drop 1 was exactly the same as yours. It really shows what a true craftsman he was as a songwriter and what good instincts he had as such. You really hit it right on the head!

Aloha : Mazzy, Chris (Long Cut), & the Sensational Archivists "Amanda". Jest for you Mazzy I will Subscribe to Chris's Channel. Such an awesome fun video to watch. I enjoy watching what styles of music your guess also listens too. Amanda's taste in music is similar to yours Mazzy. Lot of the record albums she showed I've never listened to yet. I hope someone who's watching 👀 Will bless the archivist with the latest RSD June 12th Prince release record album. To Chris from the "long cut" my condolences to you and your family on your passing of your brother. Thank you again Mazzy for such a fun-filled video. Whack-a-mole number 101. Looking forward to seeing your next video. Mahalo Ed

Yes I must agree, a Who/Faces collab plus a Rolling Stone (Charlie Watts) or two (Ian Stewart), and Eric and everyone else...I love this record, it can move me to tears.

It is always great when you have special guests. It was also inspiring to hear of Chris' very worthy charity. Love that Kinks' album and Sandinista is underrated. Three records of Clash music. You can't go wrong with that. I still love London Calling the best.

Speaking of Wilco nobody ever talks about the Tweedy/Jim O’rourke psychedelic album Loose Fur. I used to play it real loud after art shows I had on the way home driving on the coast.

I would like to go on record and say that I did not attend "The Last Waltz" concert in 1976. That Auckland - San Francisco commute can be a real bastard. On the other hand my parents did own Engelbert Humperdinck's 1967 record of said song. I heard that The Band backed Engelbert very well when he sang it at The Winterland that night, though somewhat spoiled by Muddy Waters backing vocals. For what it's worth, (and Mazzy I'm sure you know this already) but though invited, John and Paul from the Fabs refused to attend on account of Engelbert's "Release Me" keeping Penny Lane/Strawberry fields from No.1 spot in the UK. Talk about being precious!! I believe the Sam Peckinpah directed film of the concert released in 1978 went down well, though some critics felt the slo-mo bloodfest massacre during the big encore was a step to far - even by Peckinpah standards. Ol' Engelbert's career never really recovered after that somewhat bloody bacchanal. Pleased to see that you emerged from it OK. Another great video Mazzy. Love ya, Andy.

I love Sandinista too. I saw The Clash just after it came out and they hardly played any of it. I'm still annoyed. They did play Police and Thieves with support act The Belle Stars which was good.
@andynewzealand3 жыл бұрын
Same here when they toured New Zealand. Though at time my friends and I were more than happy that they opened with "London Calling" and the setlist was made up primarily from that album and the earlier ones. It wasn't until a few years ago that I rediscovered Sandinista and really enjoy the musical lolly mixture that it is.

So, it’s funny you guys were joking about me still watching towards the end. I usually watch every 5th video that Mazzy posts. But I decided to watch this because Chris was in it. I wanted to see the three of you together. I didn’t even watch 5 minutes of the 100th Drunk-a-Mole. But this was fun. Glad you guys had a great time. Mississippi Records does kick ass, Morning Phase is overrated, and I’m going to listen to Sandanista again soon. ✌🏻
