I appreciate the horror movie references. The dolls that were in box with Chucky are from the Puppet Master film series. However, I take umbrage with the chainsaw one. A chainsaw will not keep sawing once you let it go. Plus he punched the dog in that one, so it offends me emotionally and intellectually.

I loved history growing up, and reading and seeing animations of how the various torture devices worked was always fascinating to me. Not in a "I want to try that on someone!" way, but as in who the heck comes up with this stuff and what in the world must it feel like to have somethings done to you.

Fun fact: since most of the kills involve torture weapons, and you guys brought up that museum, there was a form of torture called Scaphism. This is how it went: The person receiving this torture would be force fed milk and honey. They would them be placed in a barrel, box, or strapped in between two boats, usually wooden that were big enough for them to fit in. They would then be let out to float down a river. Over time, the effects of the milk and honey they were forced to consume would cause them to get sick and vomit, and even *dedicate (poop themselves) in whatever held them in place.* Combined with the body fluids, most of the milk and honey was also on them, usually poured on them and it attracted insects to the victim. The insects would then *eat the person alive slowly each day, ranging from eating their stomach, exposing their organs, and even their eyes.* Some of the bugs even made *nests and had babies in both living bodies and dead corpses.* This was also long and excruciating, because some of the victims *lived* while being eaten by the bugs. The longest survivor of this was reported to have survived for *17 days in a row… when he was found, he was a mutilated mess.* One more thing. They sat in their own excrement, too causing painful rashes. *Imagine the smells when people would find the bodies…*

The guillotine one is inaccurate. People always assume its instant death but you don't actually die instantly. A few people in the past had studied people who were going to have it done to them (execution). The one doctor said after the mans head was cut off he seen the man looking around still. When he called the mans name, the guy looked at him. After a few seconds the eyes closed a bit. The doc called the mans name again, his eyes opened and looked at the doctor, then slowly closed again. He did it a third time and the guy looked yet again then closed his eyes and stopped responding. So you are alive for around 30 seconds or so. But you're probably in so much shock that you feel no pain and are just to shocked to understand what is going on. Sorry if this is a bit morbid, but people need to understand just how cruel some forms of execution were that we used to think were "instant".

the rat torture is an actual punishment in southeast Asia. the rat or rats are secured to the victims torso in a basket then they get the rats to freak out and with no where to go they will start eating their way through the victim.

That's not how bear traps work... You have to physically press them open to set them, and they don't bounce open. Also yes Lizzy they can definitely break bones, they are intended for capturing bears and come in a variety of sizes, where the bigger one would require two people to set. Also chain saws don't work that way either, they stop turning the blade when you let go of the trigger, newer ones tend to be maxed out as you start them to make it easier to start but as soon as you rev them they go into normal mode where you control when they cut. "If you made it this far" - yeah, I've been skipping.. Cause seriously... Tbh I'm only getting this far cause I saw a reference to a mouse and was thinking its a book reference. Yep, Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind, dunno if it was in the TV series that was quite different from the books. Course there it was a bucket, several rats and coal.
