I’m French born British national,who converted to Sikhism, a non sectarian faith, not God fearing, but God loving and therefore loving humanity with all its diversity. Whatever creed, caste, colour or gender, we are coming from the same divine spirit. Sad to see how the Trump cult has polarised American society legitimising racism and hatred.

I clicked on this video because I have always been curious about their beliefs. I'll watch a different video to dive into that since this didn't cover their spiritual beliefs too much, but I've never heard anyone have a bad word to say about Sikhs. I went to school in the 90s with a boy who was a Sikh and he was super laid back and nice. No drama. Never had any issues with anyone.

I am gonna correct some things. The 5Ks are the basic parts of our traditional militias uniform which later joined into the Indian army. They don't represent anything and they all double as weapons or armour if they aren't ceremonial ones.

Spiritual identity is not defined in personal choices of clothing, but by the heart and mind of religious people. Religion is a problem because it makes one an outsider. But true spirituality found in Christianity is based on the heart and mind of people but religious clothing. The heart and mind of someone is connected to the spirit of God and the spirits of other people. This is what makes one spiritual and connect to God Himself.

All i knew was a chill bearded kid in junior year algebra. He had a good vibe about him. I knew he was different than the Muslim kids in my class and the hair was uncut. All i knew was if you wore a hair covering for your faith, you must be pretty committed back in 2002, that maybe if it got misplaced to which others could see your hair might be embarrassing for them or something like that. So, if it looked like it was about to have a fashion malfunction, I'd let them know. Pretty cool to know that they got their start from kicking Mongol ass and promoting ideas of equality while not shoving it down someone's throat... like.. mine...did.... anyway, cool stuff and good on them for having a history of being warriors for human rights

the brief coverage of the indianapolis fedex shooting in this video is misleading. the attack was not racially or religiously motivated. the shooter just happened to work at a place with a lot of sikhs. his motivation was my little pony. he was upset that he could never meet a character from my little pony in real life, so he took out his frustration on people at his old workplace, and killed himself in hopes that he would be with that character in the afterlife. i am not making that up.

Guru Gobind Singh took the name from his master Bajjhar Singh Rathore who was a Hindu Rajput. Sikhs have alot of castes im Punjabi and i know whats going on in Gurdwaras you cannot lie to another Punjabi. There is a reason why many sikhs are turning to Christian religion in Punjab mainly because of Jattwaadi terrorism.

Gurdwaras less than a century ago were mostly managed by the mahant sampradaya, udasi sampradaya, and nirmala sampradaya. it was after some members of these sampradaya started to mismanage the gurdwara's which brought up the need for a cometti to manage the gurdwaras. This led to the creation sgpc. Sgpc was able to get control of major sikh gurdwaras but many gurdwaras were captured by rich farmers. There are not that many sikhs leaving their faith to join Christians. yes there is a decrease in the percentage of sikhs and increase in christians, but the thing that is causing the decrease is the heavy amounts of sikhs leaving the nation. The only jattwadi that is happening in Punjab are gangs that have no relation to sikhs.
