They have good aim in the lore, in Episode 4 they were told to miss on purpose so that a tracking device could be set on the Mullenium Falcon. Multiple sources site them as good shots, including one from legends saying they hit 75% of there shots and one for cannon saying they hit 1/5 of there shots. A soldire today would not hit close to 1/5 shots. Stormtroopers are infacy acurate.

It's not about time but more about routine. If you include like 20-30 minutes routine to your life for aim it will rise in time. You can also do more but i think the 20-30 minutes is optimal cuz the more time you spent the less the additional benefit there is.

Many years ago, we deathmatched in arena shooters. It was very high octane gameplay. Bunny hopping around the maps at lightning speed flying through your weapons. Aiming mattered a lot. You were basically skeet shooting at lightning bolts. Anyone dumb enough to stand still was immediately pulverized. Nowadays combat has changed a lot. Aiming hardly gets you anywhere. Games have moved from high octane speed and brute force to a more slow and "tactical" approach, more lile a game of chess trying to stack buffs and debuffs and being in the right place at the right time with the right equioment etc. You see things like combo or chain attacks. People "setting up" their plays etc. Before, engagements lasted a split second. Nowadays even a "fast" engagement is a few seconds and people still bitch and gripe about TTK (time to kill) and other crap. You notice setting up a lot especially in hero shooters since they fill a niche instead of being performant in general combat.

Jokes aside I feel like the aim training I have seen only covers a tiny aspect of how to aim better, some good exercises to get better aim that i think would be good to do are ambush plays, where you practice turning to face a threat and take them down before they do, it also works on getting better at weaving so that an enemy has a harder time locking on to your movement patterns
