I think this is misleading for people moving to Berlin, 1300€ warm for 80m2 in Mitte would be extremely hard to find in today's market. When did he start renting the apartment?

February! Yes, I agree that it’s extremely hard but not impossible. I mean it’s not meant to be clickbait or anything…it’s literally what he pays 🤷🏻‍♀️

It can happen though! I live in Prenzlauer Berg and I pay 950€ warm for 70m2! It's not common but there are little miracles sometimes

@@OliveraDarko Well, bringing some awareness to the situation in Berlin and dynamics around it, can just be a win for everybody. And I agree, its kind of missleading and also-if its about the styling and interior the price of rent is not in focus. So of course it brings people towards watching reading this price after searching and searching for quiet long and struggling through political realities of living...which could be some tiny little evil click baiting to only focus on miracles or sensations...american dream and easy-going-life can be replaced by solidarity and political awareness--eventhough its about styling and creating! Just as an option to take critics into a productive and community-aware-direction.

It is very misleading to say what 1300€ gets you in Berlin because the flats come unfurnished and you only get a blank canvas to play with for that rent. Everything to achieve that appeal has costed so much more. Props to them making it very stylish and unique. Hopefully they are not too hot during summer as it is the top level flat.

I understand your point, but it's clear that not everything inside is included in that price. However, you would get that exact same space for 1300€, and how you decorate it is entirely up to you. The apartment is quite warm, but given our short summers, it's manageable 😂

Rent is so cheap! In my city, a one bedroom in an 'up and coming' area that is not so great is 2K. But it won't look that nice.

Completely unrealistic - very misleading - around 1000 € cold means you know your Landlord, who hates money, and he made a very very special price for you...

"What 1300 gets you" sounds like a general factual statement. And that's not where rent in Berlin is generally at, nowhere near it, actually. Especially not in that area. It's such a shame, cause that's not even what the video is about (the rent isn't mentioned once!). Focusing the title on the part of the description about transforming a plain apartment in Berlin (and there are plenty of those) into a colourful and eclectic home (of which there are few) with DIY methods for relatively little money/methods that can be done with relatively little money would have been so much more spot on and a lot less people would feel like they just got slapped with a whole hand of middle fingers because they are made to feel like, apparently, they're just too stupid to find a min 60m² apartment remotely close to the central area for under 1500. Yes, miracles happen when it comes to rent and landlords who're not looking for the money; actually happened to me back when I was studying - but it's both inappropriate and inaccurate to put into a title as a factual statement. --- Maybe worth considering changing the title of the video; cause the video itself is actually quite nice and it's kinda sad when an unfitting title spoils the mood. Just my two cents.
