The only kind of person that can be so evil has to have this kind of ego . This why I fear people that truly believe they are irresistible and when someone feeds his ego he automatically opens up to show that evil thinking only someone who understands how great he is truly admiring him not realizing at all that even a blind person could see everyone knows he is a evil idiot . He wanted that old man to tell him how great he was and tell him he was a hero

I get the impression he envisions himself as a character in a book and kind of controls conversations to feel like dialogue from a novel. The whole time he was talking about himself and people he knows, it was like he was narrating.

@jimjambananaslam3596 agreed. I think narcissists view themselves as the protagonist at all times. They're smarter. More competent. Better looking etc. Than everyone else. And they "know" it. Well the detectives know that's how you feel too. And they're gonna use that to get you to talk more
@EvanConnock-k8o
@EvanConnock-k8o 2 ай бұрын
Masterful, he puts the accused at ease... all very conversational, builds report and lulls him into being totally conversational in his confession. It's as if they are all having the conversation as spectators of the event. Of interest is that he unburdens himself of the secret he has been carrying. Just lets himself go once he realises he's already exposed his guilt. The questions keep coming not allowing him to stop and think about the consequences of his actions.

Not necessarily. Many are expert manipulators. They can portray a carefully cultivated image to friends and family of their targets, to co-workers, neighbours, etc. It's quite amazing how much effort some will put into this. It's true that a lot of people aren't fooled, especially if they've run across this behaviour before. Some will just feel there's something "off," but not know exactly what. But many people don't see through it and are completely taken in.

@@Leesaloves , it's a scary thought. Just consider all of the women the infamous Ted Bundy took from this world. He certainly didn't show up for a date with a "garrote" in-hand. Rather portrayed himself as allegedly reasonably intellectual/charming even. It really goes back to what God Himself said in 1 Corinthians 2:11 wherein He expresses that basically no one knows the thoughts of a man but the man himself. We know that daily interactions with strangers can end up being a tragedy but perhaps even more dangerous besides "dating" is more personal interactions with people, putting ourselves in situations where we're alone with someone, inviting someone into our lives and homes etc. We don't lock ourselves in a closet but we do need to be more cautious and pray for Father God's protection! I thank Him for protecting me and my Family to this point in time. I mourn & pray for individuals and families who've become victims of these deranged individuals who walk amongst us....

@@britth5333 , it's heartbreaking.... He barely began to live his life and yet his life was stolen from him because "He would've been a witness to my evil!" And the murderer then was giving some indication that the boy might've been better off having left this world is what I'm getting from his attitude in as much as he actually tried to claim that "Maybe Jeff's kids are better off growing up without their Father...." Then he cries when his own freedom to exist outside of a prison is taken away. Just unbelievable.

@TheOnlyGuitarFather, just finally finished watching. This was one of the most insane cases. If I understood correctly as I was my mobile was popping in and out whilst I was doing other things but he took "Jeff's" life because he HEARD "He was a drug deal and other bad stuff about him" despite the fact "Jeff" was trying to "help" Thayne and then he took the lives of Jason and Jesse because they would be "witnesses".... And.... That's the whole story. This 22 yr old murderer lived in an alternate reality of "quotes" and "stories" he read and "rumors about people." I can't believe these lives, especially a 10 yr old boy's where he had barely begun to live, were all ended due to a freak's mental delusions.... And where do they get the "164 IQ". Might want to recheck the placement of the decimal point, likely "16.4" & that's being generous. Something really had to mess his head up to be so deranged.

In my opinion it's very clear from the first time I saw him that he's deceiving. Mostly the facial expressions give it away. He's very calm which is unusual in an interrogation. The reason he's able to do this is because he is the type of person who is in a state of constant deceit. He's probably never been real with anyone. So hes just playing a character, like an actor in a movie, and he's had a lot of practice.

I love this questioning technique of the one detective. He first lays down a scary, intense question or statement, but then quickly follows it up with a softening phrase. Here are two instances of what I mean: "Did you forget that? It's okay if you did." "Your DNA is in that bottle. Explain that to me. That doesn't mean you did anything wrong." That ending statement of the detective takes the sting out what he just presented to the suspect. I watch a lot of these sorts of videos, and I'd never come across this style before, but I really like it. 👍

IQ merely purely correlates with the ability to do well on IQ tests. Also, intelligence does not equal wisdom. A highly intelligent person who has no experience (first or second hand) with the legal system would potentially quickly learn and understand but initially not fully comprehend the best course of action. Also, don't underestimate naivete and arrogance :D

I'm no expert but how could someone conclude that there is no remorse present? How could someone say that this person is ok with his actions and proudly talks about them killings? I see someone shaking and crying while telling the truth of what he has done. Obviously he feels relief, because he can finally share.

I don’t actually believe any of the motive he claimed to have because it sounds like pure nonsense. He hates drug dealers so much that he’ll kill one but then he’s perfectly ok with killing a man and his child that he first met! He’s a manipulative liar who has a grandiose opinion of himself and he probably killed those people for no other reason besides he wanted to see if he could.
