This reminds me a lot of my own experiences maining Mewtwo in Ultimate. They're also a low tier, and you either have to really have a good grasp on consistently winning neutral, or catch people off guard with matchup inexperience. Sometimes both. But as you said, it brings me joy, and I don't think I could ever drop this character.

Tbr u can make almost any character shine u end up training really hard and get to know those top 3 matchups while the amount of good Kirby players is slim to non so u end up getting the element of surprise sometimes I felt that I barley play melee but one of my friends were playing and he was only using top tiers and I went Kirby out of the blue picked Kirby and got a win it was so unexpected but yah I enjoy people who don’t let tiers determine who they’ll main they just play who they want that is how the best melee matches r made easily he does feel awful but was noticing roll tilts and airels wherent as bad and matchups like falco with decent copy abilities are actually kinda do able but u gotta play a lot of hours to get on ur level I respect that grind wish I had more time to play melee
