Yoshi Tekken 8 gameplay. Day 1 challenge of learning Yoshi and climbing to green ranks. Yoshi is one of the weirdo tier characters in the game right now . I use a strategy of focusing on using a select few moves from 100+ movelist that Tekken characters have that meet a particular formula. As well as learning a simple beginner combo. That has always been Tekken, in Tekken 5 most characters had a 60-100 moves/combos. Sadly, i liked Tekken 6s campaign but its not on PC ever, and my computer is not strong enough to emulate that.

Believe it or not. Yoshimitsu is actually a good person. He has a sword that has a demon trapped inside. In order to keep the demon inside it needs souls. Yoshimitsu is a Robin Hood type of character. He kills kingpins and gang lords to keep the demon at bay. and gives to the poor. Bryan is his arch rival. Bryan fury killed the doctor that helped Yoshimitsu gain his enhanced abilities. In order to no longer allow the doctor to enhance anyone else. As bryan was the last person to get enhanced abilities from the doctor.

0:40 Two main? No. Not only Kincho and Dragonfly, don't forget his NSS. Although not really a stance, cancelling his seppuku do put you in BT and Yoshi do have a number of options from that position. Also, don't ignore his meditation, Indian, and Flea stances as you can get a number of utilities from those as well. Situational but they aren't useless.

Nice video!! Good intro to the character as well. FYI - Rage art damage has nothing to do with the character you play, but is rather based on how much health YOU have left. As you can see in your own example, you have lost the minimum amount to be able to perform the move, resulting in a lower damage output. If you were at lower health, this could result in a KO.

Flash, the parry thingy, is good to spam as a panic move when your opponent plays aggressive and pushes you constantly (I say this as a Tekken 7 player and yet to be able to play Tekken 8)

For some other important moves on Yoshi FC df4 is a homing low that launches on counter hit uf2 is a low crushing low with some good range but it's on the slow side f3+4 is a long ranged mid that puts you in Flea stance b2,2 is a long ranged heat engager that's pretty safe but it is duckable uf3+4 is a mid stomp with follow ups that can make it pretty safe and it's a good way to tack on some extra damage after a combo uf1+3 is Deathcopter. Always use Deathcopter d1+4 is the kill yourself button. It's funny sometimes

If they start ducking the b+2, 2 - you can go to b+2,1 instead which is a mid and a launcher or you can go b+2, 1+2 to transition to kincho or just don't finish the move after b+2, and do something else to mess them up.

His no sword stance is a key stance. Its leads to many of his good normals makes a lot of his move steal health, makes his 3 2 1+2 steal more health and best of all makes his flash crumple. Also as someone who mains yoshimitsu you dont win much if you try to play legit, once you do wacky yoshi stuff then you only win (most times)

Also if you do 3 1 you can cancel going to dragon fly stance by just holding down. A neat yoshi trick is when you activate heat and do 1+2 and opponent blocks you can heat dash to do a UF 1+2 which is a rainbow drop. You will be suprised at how many times this works. Also bad breath and db 2 crouches over highs. If you think the combo wont get them to the wall based on distant you can do another dash in flash or a 2 D 2 2

Hey to the people here that know more yoshi than I do, is db 3 , 4 , some kincho stance attack (like kincho , 1+2) a good choice when you get the opponent stuck to a wall because I think it looked really damn funny when I tried it in practice and in the arcade and I wanna be sure that it’s not useless

When you wall splat, its better to do 1 into 3~4 DGN 4. Db3334 on the wall is your choice when the opponent stay on ground because db33 will re-wallsplat them

I hate getting parried a disproportionate amount to the situation. Getting hit by the flash makes me want to throw the controller and if the Yoshi uses flash very much I don't rematch.
