Not dissing the swinging (outpacing the drone was sick and now I wanna try that) but I think the best swinging gameplay comes from people who know the map super well and add little parkour flourishes to it. Also using the ground pound and swinging out of it before impact gives you a decent speed boost and is much quicker than divebombing plus looks stylish from high up enough

It's pretty good, but imo feels a bit too restrictive, like you cant even do full circle swings. Overall its probably the best, but Spider man 2 still has much more freedom to its movement, albeit less advanced, hoping the sequel for this game will find a middle ground.

Something I haven’t seen from anyone else that i do which is very stylish is whe your parkour running along a building and jump off use the spin trick coming off the building a cording on what side of a building you’re running on. If the left side spin left and right side of a building spin right when jumping off. Again very stylish and masked the spins not look awkward and more natural jumping off the sides of buildings!

I played spiderman 2 for ps2 as a 11 year old and still play it from time to time usually when a new spiderman game releases . I still haven’t obtained megatime in a few of the insane races but my swinging has significantly improved . But after a couple of hours with spiderman PS4 , I feel like I have mastered all the swinging techniques and I don’t think I will enjoy swinging in this one from time to time as I did on spiderman 2 for ps2. Games with high skill ceiling like Tony hawks pro skater 1+2 or spiderman 2 will never lose their replayability.

This is honestly why it confuses my people call it better webswinging than spiderman 2. There literally nothing to master. There are no risks. There’s no fall damage. You can’t even run down a building. Yes it LOOKS better than spiderman 2 but that is to be expected.
