I don’t know why people think they can’t find their own place for $1100 give or take. There are new luxury apartments built in downtown you can get for around that price or you can look at places like in Culver City. It’s really not that hard if you actually look for them. Hell, if your as broke as I am, you can find a bachelor or studio apartment in Koreatown for less than that. No roommates needed.

I definitely think she got a good deal for a furnished home in LA. When I was a kid, we lived in a crazy huge, furnished home right smack in Hollywood, and no matter what, it never felt like home. I’m glad this feels like family with her and her roommates

I know this video is kinda old but this is my favorite video considering I’ve seen a lot of the sweet digs episodes! As someone who was born and raised in the suburbs of LA, it's sad that these are now the prices of rent. $1700 and you have to walk through someone else's room to get to your room! $1100 and you don't have a bed, you have a pull out couch with someone walking through your room at all hours of the night, because she is an actress! I think this is ridiculous. Yes, it came furnished which is a huge expense saved but #notworthit in my humble opinion. I wish they would have said which city. Probably Los Feliz. How are people in my age range (25-35) supposed to live comfortably in LA???

It depends. But if you want clean, safe, nice area, people in LA pay upwards of $2000 or more a month. LA is slowly becoming just as expensive as New York!

Happy you said this. Same here in New York and not just the city. I'm in the Hudson Valley and the prices are becoming like Manhattan and Brooklyn, mainly because people from there are fleeing the city because of the rents. Developers buy up all the buildings here, even if they are inhabited, redo them and then charge $2,600 for a 1 bedroom. Ten years ago, I could rent an apartment in my area for $700. I kid you not.
