Shock rifle has to be one of the most satisfying weapons to get a kill with, just because of how hard it is (at least for me) to get that clean headshot

You are certainly much more skilled than I am, but seeing how you kill enemies has taught me that we are experiencing the game very differently. I need to "hit" targets with about twice as many shots with any given weapon as you do. What is your setup like as far as connection and hardware performance? I would love to try the game without feeling like I have a handicap against me.

I have this exact same problem, when I watch these videos it's like he's playing against people on 50% health. I've been saying this to the people I play with for so long now, saying that my guns feel like they aren't doing damage, expressing my confusion about getting killed in half a second with the same gun. I've legitimately sprayed an entire clip of assault rifle into someone, have them turn around and blast me In 3-5 bullets. I have been having this issue since the game came out and no one else I play with has to deal with it. I don't have the best Internet but the times I'm playing on decent ping the shots are still hitting people, showing hitmarkers, making the hit sound and either not doing damage or barely doing damage, then 2 seconds later someone will 2 shot me with the SAME gun. Even headshots, they seem to do the damage equivalent to this guys body shots. I've only ever got 1 shot headshots with the Shock Rifle when the other player has been damaged or has no shields. Its nice to know that I'm not alone with experiencing this halo disadvantage bullshit.

I've also been dealing with this shit. Its super frustrating when you have to deal more damage to the enemies than they do to you. I think they must be controller players because they have AA and magnetism, a lot of stray bullets that people fire could be near the head and just pulled in to the head giving them more hits, doing more damage quickly and using less bullets. I play on pc so when my shots miss, they actually miss and even when I hit my shots, a big portion of them seem to not register or do damage
