Yes, that’s true. Sounds weird when you say it like that but your bike often gets stolen so you get a new one. You can buy a stolen bike from a junkie in front of whatever night club for like €10... 😆 We call it a “stadsfiets” (citybike), the bike that we can take out clubbing or so which wouldn’t be missed if it gets stolen of dumped into the water by some prick because it’s fucked up or stolen anyway.

Once my dad's friend went to India, he went on a train and it was so squeezy that he felt himself being lifted up. He panicked when he reached his train station but couldn't get off cos he was all the way at the other side. A kind soul pulled him out and told him to jump on the platform. I worked downtown Manhattan and commuted from Queens. Sometimes at a transfer from crosstown trains to downtown bound trains, you'd have to wait two or three trains for your turn if you didn't muster up the gaul to just push through.
