@@usermaybehe sadly none after him practiced this art and we are now settled in Mumbai. There is no kalari center for training even I wasn't aware of this art for many year🙄. I think French and British are responsible for this as they imposed ban on practice of this art

@@lonewolf5215 Brother. Shiva is the same everywhere!!Be it in Kashmir or Kanyakumari. Geographical division happened for competition purposes. And moreover Every style has its pros and cons. Its the Sadhaka who has to evolve and make himself and the system better..

@@lonewolf5215 Brother. I have exposed myself to vadakkan , thekkan and madhayan kalaripayattu partially. Kalari doesn't work on geographic bifurcation. It works on lineages or Sampradayams. Each Sampradayam has its own philosophy and training methodology. Dronamballi , Vatten tirippu , arappukai , odimurisseri , thulunadan , Karnataka vazhi , Bheeman Vazhi , Sugreevan Vazhi , Adimura 64 , Kalam chavitt many more sub styles are unique and distinct. At last it boils down to the guru and the shisya !! How effective they make the art look. So nothing in the style!!! the steps varies. Just like small tributaries join to form a big river !!Kalari too culminates to become one with the combination of many. Aim of every style is to reach the pinnacle of human self.

@@lonewolf5215 Brother!!!that's the thing what i am trying to address. Steps vary and there is no water tight uniformity even in thekkan kalaripayattu. Meipayatt has intrinsic meaning ! the guru reveals when the student is ready!!it need not be 16 years!!it only depends on the disciple. Thekkan style too has more than 32 chuvadu murai all having more than 12 lessons or adavus each. Yes both systems are vast. Both are unique. But which is more effective. It depends on the individual largely.
