The drunk doesn’t specify “not in play”. It’s sort of implied by the physical limitations of the game since you wouldn’t be able to hand out a duplicate token for most roles, but afaik there is not specific rule that says that

With a Poppy Grower in play, evil should have known to contact the Vizier. I sometimes don't understand why experienced players don't do the obvious. Especially when they neighbour each other! Having 2 drunk village idiots would have been so fun!

i think its not necessarily that simple. didnt see it happen these games but poppy grower, or good who suspect theres a poppy grower in play could easily claim to the vizier that they are evil and get the inside scoop on evil plans, so the vizier cant 100% trust evils who come to him, esp in a summoner game where they cant kill someone specific as proof for the first couple turns.

nominating jess or jc would also have been fine - honestly jess was probably the most sensible nomination there, if nominating at all - and not nominating probably was safest if he is sober, then jess is good and they should sleep if he isnt, then he has to be a leech host and cant be killed by the demon - so its safe to sleep
