This is Ghanaian, Fufu is from Ghana though Nigeria have their own version of the food called akpu made with fermented or fresh cassava. We in Ghana pound the cassava with plantain. It's important to note that Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Cameron basically have the same foods, Different names but it's all the same. Jollof for example is considered Nigerian but all the countries I mentioned have it. Cameroon actually won best jollof is west Africa in competition held a few years back.

Nigeria calls it fufu too. The Yorubas call it fufu. It is difficult to know where it originated from. There was a lot of trading done between Ghana and Nigeria dating back to the colonial era. It is possible one or the other took it back home.
