Do you have a video shaping how you created the black and white over your right shoulder?
@pamh96742 жыл бұрын
What a smart one you are as well as super talented! Can’t wait to try this as I typically use blues or neons which are mostly transparent. Thank you so very much.
@WinterStromArt2 жыл бұрын
I want to do that too! Use neons, I mean
@pamh96742 жыл бұрын
I’d love to see you use neons! I sometimes add a tiny bit of white to them so they don’t get eaten up by black (or will use neon gouache)
@lucybloom76002 жыл бұрын
Wow! What a great teacher you are with such clarity. The brown looking like a pillow paint but not and how you explained how the eye sees color combinations and densities. I see why you love and are so very good with this technique. Knowing tricks to manipulate outcomes in the layering, especially transparent colors like you just demonstrated in two different paintings is like watching a magician with great understanding and the ability to make stunning and profound works of art. I was glued to every word you said and listened and watched three times. Thank you for sharing 'why' things work in the way they do with swips and transfers and the art of layering transparents. Both paintings are so creative and unique to your vision giving you a recognisable style that is yours. I love that color combination you created. Thank you so much. Your students will be most fortunate to learn from and with you.💛

Hi Jessica, is the black that you use on top of your pillow a regular house paint or mixed? If you mix it is it mixed like your colors? Cheers!

@WinterStromArt2 жыл бұрын
Oh danke dir!!!

I love your work❣️I have one question: do you have to use house paint as pillow or does it work with acrylic paint, artist paint?
@chrissieburke727 Жыл бұрын
Why not just use a black pillow?
@WinterStromArt Жыл бұрын
like I was trying to explain in this video, the black behind the colors will dull the vibrancy. Only the white behind the yellow will make you see a yellow. If there was black behind it you wouldn't see it at all since its transparent. I also do this because the white, that will shine through, brings in depth and super interesting gradients instead of just solid black
