1993 i was 5 years old, New Zealand my great grandmother was at the age of 94 and the time had come for her to go to sleep untill she passed away. We sung this hymn a lot with my uncle on guitar same tune as this version

I found an old family Bible at the antique store I used to work at, I was immediately drawn to it, not only by the sheer size of the thing, but by the beautiful illuminated illustrations that's literally riddled throughout the book. As I looked through it more and more I found locks of hair, dates of weddings, and birth dates that go all the way back to the late 1700's! Well in between the first page of the book of Genesis and an illuminated picture of The Ten Commandments Is a hand-written note that says "songs sung at Martha Yonngs funeral. "what a friend we have in Jesus" and "on the sweet by + by" (exactly how it was written) I have no idea when it was written, who it was written by, or who Martha Yonngs meant to the person but I had to look it up and hear it. Anyway, I had to share. The cool factor for me is hitting the Rev limiter!

What a Wonderful Hymn with Such Truth!! If We Simply and Sincerely Pray from Our Heart and Soul To the Lord God He is Always Listening!!! He will Always Answer Our Prayers With what is Best For Us!!! I Love this hymn because it was My DAD'S Favorite !! I Lost Papa in 1988 and Still Miss Him Everyday but I know He is In a Much Better Place with Christ who is The Lord of Lords and King of Kings!!! That's amazing. I grew up near an Amish community and my own background is Church of the Brethren (another Anabaptist denomination, but much less conservative) and it's hard for me to imagine such "high spirited" singing with extra shouting and praising, but nevertheless, I just love it! ***** I went to their website (link is in description). They are not Amish, but remind me of them. There is a lot of info that will help you understand them better. I didn't find anything in a search of Amish TimesofIsrael. These people are The Church of God. Their plain manner of dress is very much like the Amish. From what I could gather of what I read on their website, they are true believers, just going by the basic truths of New Testament teachings. I didn't find a membership count, but there are quite a few congregations in several countries, including some in Canada and the United States. I don't think there is any way they are a cult and I'd like to see more of their qualities in other churches/bodies of believers.

I'm working on a movie, and I had to look up the name for a demon. there was a link to a website called "Hellfire.com" which I accidentaly clicked, but got out of before it could load. You forgot about the horrible torture one man went through for hours, becoming so disfigured, He was hardly recognizable as a man. And then, after losing much of His blood and being so weak from that as well as the torture, He was forced to carry His own cross. Then they nailed Him to the cross where He hung until He died. And He WILLINGLY went through all of that for YOU. Ask Him into your heart before it's too late.
