One of your best videos. Showing reality. Training is not glamorous and it's not always in beautiful surroundings.

Hi Ben, thanks for another update on your work towards Valencia. What kind of treatment did you get considering your high weekly mileage volume ? Just asking as I’m working as an Osteopath myself . Keep up the good work. Robert Lindell Gothenburg Sweden
@BenIsRunning53 минут бұрын
I go for treatment on my right hip/glute that’s an area I have to pay close attention after previous injuries. Specific massage, manipulation and occasionally acupuncture

You seem so calm and laid-back-good times are definitely ahead, both in your finish time and the fun along the way! By the way, what do you listen to while running, and what brand of earbuds do you use? Don’t they slip out while you’re running?
@BenIsRunning2 сағат бұрын
Thank you, really enjoying my training at the moment to the point where a good result would be nice but not 100% the be all and end all! I use the Beats Pro inear, a bit expensive but they hook into your ears so don’t fall out :).

How did you find your trainer. Was it someone you knew, someone local or is it an online training coach?
@BenIsRunning2 сағат бұрын
I’m coached by a friend of mine Victor. We meet at a running club back in 2019 and he’s been coaching me for the last few months :)

Crazy mileage I’m 2 weeks from completing half plan I’m guessing my peak mileage for Brighton marathon will be like 80K week?

Hope the half goes well! Milage isn't everything, its all about getting the right balance for the individual :)

How much running would you do in a new pair of shoes if you are unfamiliar with the model before taking them out for a marathon?
@BenIsRunning2 сағат бұрын
Probably 2/3 sessions just to be sure :)
@doubledecker10942 сағат бұрын
I thought from your thumbnail that you had run an ultra in Iran - the Iran 175KM!!
@BenIsRunning2 сағат бұрын
Think I’ll leave ultras alone of now! Doing it in a week is hard enough let alone in one go 😂

Sorry but its a bit idiotic to me you running this much when you were injured not long ago
@BenIsRunningСағат бұрын
With goals of running low 2:20's for a marathon, you have to be prepare to push the boundaries. Its a fine line but i wouldn't have gotten to where I am in my running ability without the hard work :)
