Okay, I'll help you out. 7 years ago Dahlia tried to use her daughter in a ritual to summon her cult's god (not actually called Samael, but rather Goddess of Paradise). Alessa, who had powers, after being burned and rushed to the hospital split her soul in two to keep the cult from using her to birth the God. The other half of the soul is Cheryl. They kept Alessa alive and used a magical spell to summon Cheryl back to Silent Hill, which after 7 years, finally works. As soon as Harry enters the town, Alessa used astral projection to appear to Harry, he crashes the car and both soul halves combine again. The spectral Alessa you see throughout the game is actually Cheryl, after being merged with Alessa (who is now 14 years old, hence her after appearance in the credits). She is spreading the Seal of Metatron throughout he town to keep the nightmare from speading (Dahlia calls it the Mark of Samael to fool Harry). The nightmare was created from her suffering when she was burned alive. When Harry uses the Flauros and weakens Alessa/Cherryl, Dahlia brings her and the physical Alessa (the one in the wheelchair at the end) and combines them into the Incubator, the Mother of God. If you save Kaufman, like you did, he uses the vial of Aglophotis to dispell evil and the Incubus emerges. The Incubus is the God of the cult but only in the that the child Alessa perceives it. It is also the thing depicted in the other church (in the antique shop) painting. Aglophotis, the red liquid that you read about in a memo, is the only thing that can stop the demon, or evil. When Dahlia says that she got rid of that, she means that she went to the hospital and broke the vials of aglophotis that you see, and even hear (remember that? you hated it) when you explore the basement. Alessa dies but is immeadiately reincarnated in a new baby, which she gives to Harry, ending the game. I hope I helped somewhat. Please go play Silent Hill 3 now. The lisa scene is one of the Best things humans ever created. Silent hill is a masterpiece I come back to from time to time. I Love the balance between being cryptic but also giving little hints without saying too much so you can interpret the details

Also I believe the meaning behind that scene is that she was dead but never realize it. Also because you helped capture alessa with flauros the world is breaking apart and remember that everything you see is a distortion of the darkest thoughts of Alessas's mind For example. Mumblers (Orange guys) are a representation of the Kids that bullied Alessa So basically Alessa's depiction of what she thinks Lisa is was breaking apart right in front of you

They intentionally kept it vague, to be confusing. You are also supposed to get the BAD ending on your first playthrough, to be utterly confused and go WHAT THE ACTUAL F? WHAT HAPPENED? That is the point. It gets more engaging, more spooky that way, when you are dealing with the unknown. You get an urge to play more, to want to explore more, to find out what the hell is actually going on. Of course, we are living modern times, so that does not apply now, as we have no time to play again, and don't care. In BAD and BAD PLUS ending you fight a different boss. You fight Alessa (The Mother of God). Because Kauffman never shows up. Oh, and Alessa actually has powers, that's why they wanted to use her and that is why she was able to make her nightmare real. I can clearly see you enjoyed SH1 a lot which is awesome, but as SH3 is directly going to continue the story of SH1, you're gonna love it. Graphically it's like SH2, since it's using the same game engine, but with plenty of visual updates on top of it. Also, in my honest opinion, SH3 is the scariest OG Team Silent's SH game.

Thanks a lot for this really enjoyed it. Looking foward for SH3 next. Try using the Ps2 emulator. (pcx2) Tips when booting the game go to emulator settings and in the graphics setting put the Download Hardware Mode to Acurrate always to not have bugs in the lighting, you can use 16:9 aspecto ratio and widescreen hack option it worked for me. Also enable sync to Host in advanced option for better frame pacing And in audio enable the Best quality interpolation Mode that you can.

You missed an impotant clue about the lore in the nightmare hospital office room where you red a paragraph about the White Claudia plant. You needed to smash "interact" button at the desk a little more to find a newspaper article about a fire that happened in the town and Harry makes an interesting connection with the dates. Also Lisa didn't quit the hospital, she just wanted to. But Kauffmann being the drug dealer, he used her addiction to make her keep working there and taking care of this child that will never heal but won't die either. It destroyed her emotionally and when talking to Harry she don't remember much because she was kept high on the stuff so she can't tell anyone about this burned child experiment happening in the hospital's basement's basement. I liked your playthrough a lot! It is very refreshing to see someone paying attention to the details and thinking along with the game. I hope to see you play SH3 and SH4 in the future! Cheers!

Actually he didn't miss the fire article as it doesn't even appear to be in the US version of the SH1 which is the version Doruk is playing (can be seen from emulator's top left corner notifications when he saves his game), while that specific article is on the European (PAL) version of the game, which I have played. You can read about the version differences from Silent Hill Memories site. The only "benefit" from the US version are those "grey children" enemies as a little variation, while the PAL version is missing those enemies replacing them as "mumblers" at the school and other places, BUT you get that cool fire article in Nowhere. So, there's that.

@@Inventarion Oh, wow! I had no Idea that regional differences vary so much. That's actually sad that the American version doesn't have this detail because I only recently found it and my mind was blown how this one article made everything click in my head. From the sound design and visuals about rusty noisy pipes (like the noisy boiler that started the fire) to the fact that the fire happened on the same date when Harry and his wife found Cheryl. I was also confused about the grey children in the school because I am currently replaying the game and didn't have these enemies but I figured it was just because I'm playing in "new fear" gamemode and the higher difficulty just skipped to the end game enemies when I actually never had these enemies in the game.

I think out of all the sewer sections I have played from other games this one was the Best one I have done. Can be a bit messy to figure it out but once you have it its pretty easy and the escape part is very cool I Loved it. It still makes me tense

alessa was 7 when her soul splintered and was reincarnate. + the 7 years for cheryl to grow up. alessa was 14 by the game.

just random point, no demon in here. it's an angel at the end. not a demon. its part of the surreal bizarre nature of silent hill. its depth is more biblical.
