From my understanding while its best to wait, they have breeding of ball pythons down to a science, and breeding and hatching date down to an exact number/hatch date. So its usually no harm. As long as they dont pull out from the egg and let them go for as long as they need.

And then wonder why more babies don't make it to the age they can be sold at. It's about the balance between nature and men intervention. We don't always supposed to intervene. As a breeder of horses myself i already taught myself how to recognize when a mare needs help (if the baby is stuck, like this snake, or if it's backwards) . Most mamas actually do their job perfectly, mainly because we don't risk the health of mares who can't safely give birth on several occasions or have health issues, especially if they are passed down genetically
