Hanabi Taikai, or Fireworks Festivals are held throughout Japan during the summer months. They are festive and a lot of fun. They are also super crowded and can be extremely stressful.
Showa Kinen Park located on Tachikawa, is a good place to come and enjoy the fireworks in Tokyo. It’s a bit removed form the city center and the park is huge, making it the perfect venue to accommodate all the people. This video shows you what it’s like to go to one.

I really enjoy this channel as I can hear the ambience and people chit-chats on the background as if I am there with you guys experiencing this video. Plus, the subtitle describing everything honestly. Domo arigato gozaimasu for making this channel in addition to your TabiEats one! I subscribed both but I enjoy this one more. 🙏🤓

Hi Shinichi! Congratulations on your new channel - it looks like it will be really great! The first video is a treat, watching the beautiful fireworks. That was such a great fireworks show, with so many different types of fireworks! There were many people there, for sure, but hopefully it was worth dealing with the crowd. I'm glad you could have a snack afterward. Best wishes for the new channel!

I actually went to a summer Japanese festival with fireworks here in Minnesota a couple years back! The park wasn't as large, unfortunately, so there wasn't as much room for blankets and such. But it was fun! There were crafts, a Japanese dance troupe, and a speech by the mayor of Nagasaki about cultural exchange (Nagasaki and Saint Paul are the oldest official sister cities in the world). If only summer wasn't so hot and buggy!

What a great video to kick off your new channel. One thing I noticed about the people attending this fireworks display, is they were all respectful of walking in front of people sitting and watching, there were no rowdy people drinking too much and causing trouble. It was a very nice atmosphere. Great for families. Seems like anymore in the states, there are people who just want to cause trouble rather than enjoy the show.😔

Ooh, Tachikawa! I didn't recognise the name of the park until I saw the sign and read the place name (2 of the few kanji that I know). Looks like a park I should explore when I'm in town for the second time. It looks large in the map, but not a large as it apparently is in walking distances! And I loved the fireworks :)
