I hodded in the mid 80’s, started in 85 aged 14 on the biggest building project in the south east in Beckton, East London.over 10000+ house & flats, had a double hod specialy made, didn’t scaffold ‘loading docks; back then, you had no choice but to climb ladders all day, 3rd lifts were always a killer, 3 ladders to climb every time, also had a special double muck carrier made for me like what you see with the old milk maids 🤣, we used to do w days on the hod and 3 days on the muck, good earnings in those days too, was feeding 2/3 bricking gangs at a time, fun times,because you were allowed to use common sense. 🤣🤣🤣

I use a hod everyday, I use 3 blocks when I stand the hod up easy to get on the shoulder I used to like the long stick but pain the arse to go up on the table lifts, shorter the easier but nice to see people still use them 🤙🏼
