disclaimer: I used all my HTML5 coding skills to hack the bike's ECU in order for the speedometer to show random numbers instead of my actual velocity. Sometimes my hack failed so I had to blur the dash in order not to show my embarrassingly slow speeds.

That blinking light signals that the Motor Slip Regulation (MSR) is working during hard downshifts. It supports the slipper clutch by keeping the throttle a tiny bit open when you suddenly close it at high revs. It milds down the massive engine braking (which feels like throwing a freaking anchor in low gears when MSR turned off).

@12:54 ist aber krass der Bremsweg bzw das verhalten. Genau das hat mir meinen Fuss jetzt gebrochen auf der Multi V2S, so ein verhalten kann ich mich nicht mehr dran erinnern das meine r1250gs adv gemacht hat und da hab ich öfters mal hart den anker geworfen. Könnte der Telelever sein?

Amazing bike the torque of the LC8's Ktm is amazing I've the 2017 1090 adventure and I'm pretty sure the 1290 it's a real beast I mean what kind of superbike could compete on a mountain pass with this adventure ? Cheers bro! ;)

What I understand is that when yr dropping a gear, the slipper clutch smooths it out, but when it can't cope the Tc light comes on to show u that the rear wheel is sliding ever so slightly. I've a 1290s also. But that's my opinion. Great vids :-) :-)

Du schaltest vor der Kurve in den 1. zurück!!!? kein Wunder das das MSR eingreifen muss. Unter den 2. komm ich höchstens mal beim Stillstand.

die KTM 1290 SAS hat ihre Drehmomentspitze zwischen ~6500 und knapp 8000 Touren. Dort kann ich nur sein, wenn ich in engen Kurven in den Ersten schalte. Ich könnte genau so gut alles im 4. Gang fahren, so würde es mir aber keinen Spaß machen.

@@Schaaf Im 4. und auch im 3. würde sie aber nun wirklich viel zu sehr hacken wenn du aus den Serpentinen raus fährst, daß würde nicht nur keinen Spaß machen. So hat halt jeder seinen Stil und sein Tempo ;-) Ich liebe diesen Motor

Schade, dass bei diesen Motoren so schnell Ende beim hochdrehen ist. Du bist ja ständig nur am schalten. Mit meiner Tuono geht das alles im zweiten oder dritten Gang, je nach Ambition. Da fahr ich den ganzen Berg hoch ohne einmal zu schalten.

das geht mit der KTM auch sehr gut. Aber mir wird's einfach zu langweilig, wenn ich so wenig schalte. Auch mit der Tuono habe ich viel Gänge gewechselt, vorallem, weil man den V4 da so schön knallen lassen kann ;)
