In the state of MICHIGAN if pulled over by Michigan State Police does the passenger have to talk or show any kind of I.D. if asked by officer?

Delaware v prouse clearly states a officer cannot restrict once freedom of movement without probable cause of a crime. People v Battle traffic infractions are not crimes. In order for a crime to exist there must be a injured or damaged victim.

Delaware v Prouse is a case from 1979 where the Supreme Court held that a traffic stop made without any traffic or equipment violations, and with no other evidence of a crime, was not legal. Traffic stops for traffic violations, equipment violations, or where articulable reasonable suspicion of other criminal activities have been repeatedly upheld by the Supreme Court. Once a lawful traffic stop has occurred, drivers and passengers must comply with lawful orders of the police officer making the stop - including orders to exit the vehicle.
