What Acon from Hack Club has learned from gamifying hackathons

I am the only one who enjoys Hackatons without any competitions or stress, just people sitting down working, chatting friendly and having a good time in a relaxed way? I find that such environment makes it easier for me to learn and explore new things. If you are rushing for a goal you tend to just stitch together what you already know in order to save time, but that is not very educational.
