Tbh the so called hate is just ppl who over estimated this team. I expected the last top 8 spot to be between them and Chile and I also expected Chile to get it. It's not that huge of an upset. This situation is just overblown by Americans trying to seem hurt because the team they knew wouldn't do much didn't do much. Actual reason they're angry is because all the best Americans players didn't show up

I doubt they asked the snowmen or ssg (hockser, chicago, LJ) or even shopify rebellion to go rep usa. G2 said no so they asked RMC who said yes, not giving anyone else a chance to say yes. Cant say noone else wanted to go when they didnt even get a chance. If only they had a qualifier so that everyone that actually wants to go can compete for the spot and the best team wins.

I don't see it. They were mid in NA last year. If they couldn't consistently make Majors then, they aren't gonna do it now. They got worse as the season went on. Surprised me they got an org like Gen G to sign them. Must've been quite a bit cheaper than getting a top roster.

@@regansimpson3196 doesn't deny the fact that they were off. look at old gen.g for example. they were a top 8 team in the world going toe to toe with the best (minus falcons) even going to game 7 with the gm8s at the major they ended up winning. then they had a great ewc sweeping vitality and losing in 6 to the eventual ewc and world champs BDS followed up by a horrible worlds losing to oce twice.

As someone who’s from England, I already knew we had no chance making top 8, luckiest run from oxygen in worlds Oski literally carried them. Joyo and Archie have shown countless times they don’t have the work ethic in this game, when’s the last time they were top 100 2s? Should have been apparently Jack and rise and a different third. Unfortunately, it really felt like team USA wasn’t playing “to win” in their last match against Chile. It seemed like y’all were playing “not to lose”. When you guys play hard and with the purpose of winning and excelling, you guys played fantastic! But when y’all “only needed to win 1” the fire seemed to leave and the pressure game off. Still played fantastic and we are all proud to have you guys rep USA!

From an average gc2 (take it with a grain of salt) I think your assessment of what the team needs to work on is spot on. It simply came down to mechanical issues and a lot of possession being given away. Y’all had France in the anaconda multiple times throughout the tourney just could not capitalize

Im a huge fan of Retals and Majic. Obviously it was disappointing to see the boys not even being remotely competitive against France or Brazil. Respect to Retals for admitting that it was lack luster, they choked and they need to step it up big time. Expectations should be very high for everyone involved. I just hope the focus is in the right place. I dont think its a coincidence that there arent many top players with daily videos on youtube and Id much rather watch a competitive team than a mediocre youtube channel.

I was impressed with Cheese. He's really worked hard on reducing defensive mistakes. IMO he was top goal saver most games and, overall he played a strong game. Honestly, I thought retals had a weak tournament. Overall, the GenG move may work out pretty well for NA RLCS

Hey dude. I have been watching your content on YT since around your time in SSG, and never missed an upload. I'm a french RL player, but i'm always rooting for any team you are on. As i watched your videos regularly, i noticed, around like maybe a year and half ago (could be more or less i don't really know) your overall skill level went UP. but like... significantly. It was to a point where you would do something in ranked that i've never seen in any of your previous vids, and it would happen in another video, with, again, another thing, and in another one, etc. I don't really think you ever noticed it yourself cause you play everyday and you work your ass off so it would maybe feel like normal skill progression, but to an average player like me, it was extremely noticeable. Thing is, even though this pattern didn't last forever, i still feel like if i watch a classic ranked video of you from like 3 months ago, you're better today in comparison. You are obviously still improving in a game you pour thousands of hours in and that's just insane to me lmao. you've not reach your skill limit and i'm fucking hyped for 2025 RLCS with Gen G. I play RL almost everyday and watch every RLCS event and I didn't even know this tournament was happening. Like WTF Epic and Psyonix, put some effort on marketing! I know they publish stuff on X but that platform sucks nowdays and people like me don't even have account there anymore. Would it be too much to ask if they use the game itself to inform people about these events?! It works with RLCS.

I really do hope that NA teams start taking the job more seriously. Top 8 or top 4 should not be the goal, winning should be the goal. Bootcamp all season like the EU teams, and really focus on how to be the #1 team. It sucks as an NA enjoyer to lose almost every international event to EU. If you're not trading series wins with G2 (NRG) in tournaments, then you gotta go back to the drawing board. G2 shouldn't have been as dominant as they were. If other NA teams or players think that taking the game seriously is cringe, let them think it's cringe as you step over them and take their spot. Rant aside, congratulations on the opportunity to represent your country, and I hope to see GenG on top of NA.

Makes no sense that the region making the most money doesn't boot camp and in some cases, can't even make top 4 at international events (Worlds 2023, for example). I remember hearing on a Chalked Cast with GarrettG or something, that players think trying is cringe, caring is cringe. How often do we see EU players cry when they lose big matches at LANs? It's because they work so hard and they care so much about the game. They want to be the best. We don't see that same passion from NA players.
