Ah memories, used to live and breathe footy back then! Plus the footy cards brought more nostalgia. Then the Hawks back to back to back. Good times…

Scully would be right up there on the list of players who made the most money while being absolutely worthless. That deal was even disgusting by Fremantle standards and they are the kings of terrible trades

Great player for the Tiges. He had to leave in 2016-17 because Richmond were a basket case. Such a shame he missed the fllags.

if deledio doesn’t leave, tiges don’t have the cap space to get dion prestia, who was arguably the missing piece in that richmond side. Plus after years of Richmond mediocrity he was according to some quite cynical and wouldn’t even talk to new players after having seen so many failed prospects pass through the club’s doors.

You missed an important part of the Jack Watts story. He had just found a new role on half back and was really looking like a new player in that role. It was like 2 games later he got badly injured and never returned. I always felt it was a very sad way to end a career that could have had a really nice conclusion without that injury.

I feel sorry for Jack Watts. Such a talented player, but Melbourne screwed up his development path.
@biggi3st3v38 ай бұрын
They screwed up a lot over that period of time. But I never understood the later on criticism at them taking him over nic nat. Watts was the consensus number 1 at the time, they would have been crucified if they didn't take him, and it was the right call at the time, no one was really sure if nic nat would actually be good. And they certainly didn't do enough for him
@wlsmojo8 ай бұрын
@@biggi3st3v3 I also got the impression that Nick Nat would not have been happy with Melbourne and pull a Luke Jackson and go straight back to Western Australia.
