Nigerians that are getting mad would you prefer if they all sweet talk about us. I love this honesty and as I Nigerian, I agree. We argue a lot, you can even see it in the comments. We don't like others opinion, you can see that also in the comments. Please continue this kind of interview. Ghana next!
@truthhurts49176 жыл бұрын
James Nwanazia You know when you have a bad attitude, its only other people that will know. We can compliment ourselves all we want, say we are good, we are better but at the end of the day, we what others think we are. If you show bad behavior and justify ourselves, we are still bad. The reason why I am agreeing with him, it is because its others opinion. I stay with some people from another country and their attitude is so bad, but they still say "we are better than this and that" and I hope Nigerians dont be like that. Its better to be humble. At the end of the day, our attitude will get us the compliment we need and not our bad behavior. You can call Ghanaians assholes but you speak like an asshole as well. You realize what I am trying to point out. If a Ghanian sees this, he'll only think of Nigerians as assholes. Imagine if the people in one country, compliments Nigerians, or are very friendly with our people, won't we say good things about those people. Look at the comments of Nigerians, all they did was prove that all the negativities those people say are true. Nigerians are pretentious as well. I've seen a pastor pretend to be nice to my dad and soon order the embasador to deport us. I've seen my mom sweet talk someone and they bad talk behind them. I am sure you've done it. We can call ourselves good and all but you realize we will only look arrogant. Imagine if it was a ghanean saying this about Nigerians. That we are asshole will you not think about the person as idiot. Even if Ghanaian are like that.. We don't have to be like them. I hope our people change. So that it not mostly negativity people will she about us.

truth hurts + I have read your missive and all you said are well understood and I know exactly where you are coming from.I am not an unreasonable guy but aren't you sick and tired of people always pointing out the negatives of Nigerians. What about the so many positives.That right there is what makes me want to crawl up the wall.Every nation on this planet have good and bad people and I don't see their neighbours throwing up a storm.Let's take the Chinese people, for example, they are the most uncouth /most badly behaved people when abroad but you will not see or hear other Asians dwell on it. Do you think that Nigerians don't know that they can be obnoxious/ loud/brash/rude Enzo? But who is more friendly/welcoming/ready to help another African brother in distress?That's who the Nigerians are and I wouldn't want them to change that for all the gold and platinum in the world.That trait separates them from the rest.In my neck of the woods where I call home, the Caucasians hate and are in awe of the Nigerians at the same time.Nigerians who are citizens here don't bow to anybody and talk down to white people who are so entitled that thinks the world revolves around them.They actually feel inferior to the Nigerians which gladdens my heart. Nigerians are grandiose people.The world knows that and Nigerians know that too.They have no reason whatever to be apologetic of who they are and I feel sad that you feel this way.I wish you hear what Ghanaians say about their supposedly best friends who are Nigerians when their backs are turned. sickening.Who needs an enemy when he has Ghanaian friends.I have heard in Airport and trains terrible things they say about their West African neighbour.

James Nwanazia 'they don't have to apologetic for who they are?" So you are saying that even if we are rude, ununderstanding, we don't need to apologize? Because the things I was talking about was the bad behaviors. Of course Nigerian has a good and a bad side. Which country doesn't have that. We have smart and intelligent people, which country doesn't have that also. You are saying look at how west Africans bash on us Nigerians their fellow west Africans.. But half of Nigerians do the same. Two wrong doesn't make right. Nigerian wants Ghanian to admit that Nigerian jollof is better while Ghanian wants us Nigerian to admit their jollof is better. As a Nigerian, is Ghanian jollof better? Most Nigerian would say "its not even something to argue about, our jollof is far better." And if someone says otherwise, we will argue. Same with Ghanaian. Do you think with mentality like that we will survive a actual war between each other. We compare each other with just the simplest things. You think it is sad I think like this. Well i think it is sad that its our people that can give our country complement when we are suppose to receive from other country. Imagine if a Ghanaian comes and says "Ghana is far better than Nigerian." Which Nigerian wouldn't be angry. There are some stuff we don't need to argue about, we just need to prove people wrong and proving people wrong is not by saying "we are better because this and that" but by showing we are better, that even if they don't admit it they know we are better. At the end of the day your behavior speaks better than sweet talking your people and country. You will still be judge on how you show your attitude. That is my point. It may seem like I am directing it only to Nigerians but almost every Africans have this problem. Arguing, complimenting their selves arrogantly when its suppose to come from others. Its like a student saying "I am hard working, my classmates will always judge me, but I am better than them" when he has F all over his note. If he was smart, do you think his classmates will tell him he is stupid? I am not saying we Nigerians are the only ones with problem, I am just hoping that we Nigerians will be the one to finally have common sense in this issue of war and who is better. Compliment Ghana A LOT that when they hear Nigerian the only thing they can say is "ohhh that people are wonderful." It not always about proving who is right. Imagine if every Ghanians you meet just keeps Complimenting us Nigerian "oh keep going my African brother. I see how hard working your people are oh! Your jollof is so good, we Africans are the only one who can make good jollof oh." Of course you will feel really loved by Ghanaian and you will love them. Even if Ghanaian's won't start with the change. If we are smart like you clam, let's start first. That's just my opinion.
@james566606 жыл бұрын
truth hurts + I do really see your point of view.......It's very hard for a Leopard to change its spots.I know one thing for a fact that Nigerians are receptive to people who are real.Be true and loyal to them and watch how they will love you unequivocally.They don't really care about their perception the world over because they are discerning enough to know that the configuration of our beautiful planet is skewered in a wrong direction with it's atrocious politics perpetuated by the West.Who by the way don't play by the rules and yet want you to do?It's the plain truth. I am not trying to deflect here. My point here is that Nigerians have no obligation to be saints when devils exist everywhere in the world.It's every man for himself out there.Yes, we should be more civil to other people and I for one second that sentiment of yours but you should also bear in mind that is going to be a working progress with Nigerians and other African brothers now that our continent is coming out of the doldrums from the negative narratives that the Caucasoids and the western media put that continent and its people through for so long. Thank God for the internet which has equalled the playing field.Those are my two cents.

Out of curiosity he said considering whats happening in your country now why would you say shes the best in the world and i asked him to sit down and let me tell him what he and most people dont not know about Great Nigeria and i told him these....... 1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by which others measure themselves? Do you know?? 2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated. 3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%. 4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k. 5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations. 6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK. 7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super talented Nigerian from Sokoto State. 8. The World’s fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose pat ency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the pat ency to the world’s fastest computer: a Nigerian. 9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind. 10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played. 11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly. 12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil. 13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the elected President back to power. 14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil. 15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask. 16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa. 17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to. 18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before Ireland has their RTE station......... Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past. If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full & true picture of your Nigerian heritage. Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position. We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness........ Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians: 19. On the 7th of May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians. The entire world still envies our uniqueness as a NATION, living together despite our ethnic diversity. One single country with over 400 languages. They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas. If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you. VIVA NAIJA!!! 20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only about 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global media. Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian. Nigerians are NOT criminals. You are NOT a criminal. You are topnotch; second to none around the world. I am proud am created a Nigerian, thank you God. Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. He couldnt talk and just walked away. Am proud to be a Nigerian and be from that country.... God bless Federal Republic Of Great Nigeria.

I have grown up in Africa and lived in several African countries, among those was Nigeria. I found Nigerians very pleasant to work with, serious in their dealings, hard working and ambitious. The negative things that I observed did not seem more common in Nigeria then elsewhere. Nigeria has a large population, 1 on 4 African is a Nigerian, so perhaps more often they are represented in the same proportions among bad people, so people tend to generalise, also because the populations so large, competition among Nigerians is tough, thus making them naturally good hustlers for life in general. What I didn't enjoy in Nigeria was the traffic, especially in Lagos. It's difficult to have a decent life there because of that traffic and over population. However, cities like Abuja, Calabar are quite and pleasant. Basically Nigerians have been for me until now among the best people I have dealt with. This is just my own opinion, based on my limited observations.

Mugu means fool or gullible and is a term used for the 'victims' or co-conspirators of a 419 deal that turn out to be the 'victims' If you get an email talking about a rich uncle you know you don't have, because you believe you will receive money or offer your account to be used for what you think is an illegal money transfer on the basis that you will get a cut, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL YOURSELF and NOT a victim. Charles brown, I don't feel superior to my fellow non Nigerian Africans, but I will have to correct your impression on the status of "BIG BROTHER." Dude, by God's grace I'm over 40 years old and I have seen things that Nigerians have done for other African countries, with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Believe me, from South Africa, Liberia, Sierraleon, Namibia, Darfur, Mali and even our young cousin, Ghana to say the least have all benefited immensely from Nigeria's big heart. In the early '90's, Nigeria contained and brought peace to the west African sub region based on escalation of civil wars in Liberia & Sierraleon. Not a single diamond was stolen by us. America didn't even render support to Liberia, just because they lacked oil. On Apartheid, I can go on for paragraphs upon paragraphs. If you have been around long enough, you will know that only big brothers behave the way Nigeria behaves towards other African states.

Oluwafemi Eseku Samson Well said. The problem with our young Nigerians is the fault of our educational system that did not teach us our military history. Most of our youths don't even the military exploits of our grand fathers and great grand fathers in Burma war. Congolese wars. Sudanese wars back in the days. They don't know of our ECOWAS military strength and leadership. Our strive for independence which propelled Ghana to get their own before us. Also, most Nigerian immigrants invest in their kids future abroad. Hence, that's why u see so many successful famous Nigerian athletes, doctors, actors, and businessmen. My nieghbour who is also my good friend is a Nigerian who is a single father that works hard to put his two daughters in a private school. They don't settle for less when it comes to their kids future here in North America. I really admire that about most Nigerian parents abroad. Yeah but when you compare that he comes from an extremely rich and powerful Nigerian family and his grandfather was the richest man in Nigeria at his time.. He has an extremely unfair corrupt advantage. In his interviews he likes to say that he's self made, which is just simply not true. How can you be richer than 99.9% of the population when the country is still developing. I can understand Bill Gates, America is a very blessed rich and developed country, while Nigeria is still developing. Much of Nigeria is still very under developed, In Lagos there still no 24/7 power, massive unemployment.. my inlaw works at a Dangote plant and is only getting 18k for 10 hours of work.. And now more corruption, he is opening the Oil refinery, this is all done by one man and not for the benefit of Nigerians. DON'T GET ME WRONG NIGERIANS LIKE MOST AFRICAN GROUPS ARE VERY VERY BRILLIANT PEOPLE.. JUST STATING THE FACTS. i THINK LIKE ALL BLACKS EVERYWHERE WE LOVE TO MAKE OURSELVES LOOK IMPORTANT WHILE WE ARE LACKING IN MANY PLACES.. MINUS THE CORRUPTION, ENDING TRIBALISM AND BETTER LEADERS, NIGERIAN CAN JUST AS GREAT AS THE USA OR CHINA..
@immakings6346 жыл бұрын
Ezethegreat One What he said is true he is self made, and he's father was nevef at no time the richest person in Nigeria, is uncle was rich not his father, and also about him being wealthy than 99,9% of the population is wrong, the second richest man in Nigeria is worth $5,2 billion and there are 4 billionaires in Nigeria in total, and lot's of millionaires so yea he is no where nerar richer than 99,9% of the population, and also india is a country like Nigeria in terms of development(they are both considered developing nations) and yet india has 82 billionaires with Mukesh Ambani worth $22,7 billion
@immakings6346 жыл бұрын
Ezethegreat One no where in my comment did i write that Nigeria is developed, i said 'developing nation' and about the other african countries you listen you shouldn't have added Ethiopia because they are one of the hungriest country if not the hungriest in africa, Rwanda is nice i agree with you on that, Namibia is 50/50 all african countries are suffering from corrupt politicians not just Nigeria, and about alinko dangote, I'm just going to take it thzt you're right because i don't know much about him, i only watch his interviews

In my opinion, I think the word to use to describe Nigerians is aggressive and not rude. They are smart people, loud when speaking and they are fast in everything. If you are not fast or sharp, you will never have the time to make a point that they will respect. If you say one thing that is smart, I can assure you, you will feel the praises that comes with it. By the way, the bros that called Nigerians "mugu" failed to understand we invented that word and it actually means "being dull". I am not insulting him but I get the impression that he is a "mugu" from the way he was talk. When you have more than 200m people in the country pursuing the same thing, you have to develop the aggressive trait to survive and stay on top. We are not rude, just aggressive.

Every year, there are Nigerians in the USA getting into ALL Ivy League universities. Not , Ghana, Kenya, SA or anyone else. Even in the UK, the same. Africans shutting it down in Hollywood, again Nigerians have to be mentioned. Acclaimed doctors and surgeons abroad, heavy weight boxer AJ, Nigerian, renound and celebrated authors like Chimananda Adichie, China Achebe (RIP), Ben Okri. Don't get me started on Afrobeat artists. Our music is the one representing most and at high echelons abroad. Not Ghana, South Africa, Kenya etc. Look at the west African businesses investing the most in your country (especially you Ghana), it will be Nigerian. After all that you want to pretend we don't bring anything good??The only thing other West Africans have in common is their dislike of Nigeria/ns but you don't see them actually investing in eachother. What you have done is stereotype a country, castigate a people because of a few likes? You are etching the lines of division in the hearts of people. Nigerians are very talented, definitely smart and have a good sense of self pride. The only problem is Nigerians will never pay you on time if they borrow money from you (you have to go and ask them for your money back always), if you ask them something they always pretend like they have an answer for it even if they don't, the Nigerians I know are scam artists but I wouldn't say all Nigerians are scam artists. @sylviasworld93976 жыл бұрын
Asa Nwa exactly. I used to live in Australia and was asked by a Kenyan 'how come Nigerians always achieve so highly' I replied with what you just said. We are brought up to believe in ourselves and our ability. Any doubt and we all know the saying we will be told...' the people already doing it, do they have two heads?'. You are far more likely to be criticized for aiming too low rather than aiming "too high'. A man from Zimbabwe insisted I meet his wife as he kept telling her that I'm so bold to come to Australia alone. He asked me why I'm so bold to do it, I simply replied I'm a Nigerian, we don't let opportunity just pass us by but we grab it with both hands even if the risk is scary. That's the truth.

And about the video it's gud to hear what other Africans think about us Nigerians, and i respect people's opinion

That first guy really pissed me off... You're the real definition of MUGU. How can you compare your Ghana jollof rice with Nigeria jollof rice??? Have you ever tasted Nigeria Jollof rice before??? And who even told you Nigeria jolloe rice is white..? To be frankly with you, Nigerians are smarter than Ghanaians, in any aspects... I don't even know why anyone with his or her right sense will be comparing Nigeria to small Ghana... Always a Proud Nigerian

*You got duped of $1000 by a Nigerian and you made it a especial topic?* In 2015 I got duped of $2850 by a Sudanese I met in abroad whom I treated so good from day one just for being an African brother until he got the opportunity and duped me, long story though but I blame it on myself for giving such trust to him only for being an African brother despite his religion as Islam and mine as Christian I never care about that. So if you think you are the only person who got duped by fellow African you are totally wrong to make it a head point against Nigerians. I never put it against all Sudanese but I took the blame on myself for such trust and this is my first time saying such online because you got me into saying it. I am a Nigerian.
@goodiesw.14696 жыл бұрын
I guess as you called yourself controversial, you love doing so to attract much traffic to your KZbin channel thereby making more money from KZbin, do I have to blame you on this? People does everything just to make money and you are proven to be one. Learn to focus attention on things that unites us as Africans than things that divides us because the division in Africa is our weakness that benefits the Western more despite Africa being the richest continent in the whole world.

Take it or leave it, Nigerians are the Americans of Africa. Just as the world sees Americans as being proud and rude, so they see Nigerians. The truth is we got our own issues to contend with. I think the stereotypes is so bad that you will see on youtube terrible events that happened in other countries being posted as Nigerian man or woman did this ir that. I.think Nigerians are great people with great mind, no minding the selected few that may have flaws.

the thing I noticed is Nigerians are very good in making money (legally or illegally) while most of africans are very very lazy, they cannot keep up with nigerians (including angolans)... I use to live in Portugal. That country has a lot of africans community who speak portuguese. Me and other fellow afrikans were living there for years without opening any business. My nigeria brother came to Portugal to study and in one year opened three business... Instead of hating Nigerians, we should learn with them. People is starting developing hate for nigerians the same way europeans developed to jews... And we know how it ended... We should be careful brothers!!!
