Anyone who is interested in music as a hobby will enjoy owning all three of these instruments. You may become very good on one and you’ll still not get bored with the other two.

I recommend getting a strap for the main reason that if you have it around your neck you’ll not drop the guitar and it won’t get scratched or get worse damage. It just takes one time for it to fall in the floor.

What would be better to play after playing a ukulele. A banjo or mandolin?

I'm not a banjo player but I personally think every banjo player should have a banjo mute. 😁

Can I learn mandolin without any experience on any other string instrument ?
@Persun_McPersonson3 жыл бұрын
You can learn *any* instrument from scratch, though some are easier to start with, such as an oboe being one of the most difficult reed instruments due to the sheer amount of breath control you need in comparison to, say, a clarinet or flute (and breath control on those two aren't exactly immediately easy either). As for the mandolin, if you're passionate enough about the instrument, I don't think its quirks will be too much of an obstacle. The main thing is that the strings are doubled in order to give the instrument a fuller sound, so you basically need to tune each note twice. So to clarify, there are technically 8 strings, but only 4 open notes because the strings are paired together in groups of two-both notes in a given pair are tuned to the exact same note. You'll be plucking pairs of strings as if they're one string, basically, which can also take some getting used to in comparison to most other string instruments. (Random fun fact: a few hundred years ago, guitars also had doubled strings because it was the only way to get the full sound they wanted before fully-metal strings were a thing.) One nice thing about tuning it (despite the doubled strings) is that the intervals between the strings are really easy in comparison to a guitar, ukulele, or banjo-they're all in fifths like a violin, viola, or cello. Whatever instrument you choose, I'm sure you'll love it! Good luck! :)
