What am I, Ancestry DNA Results are finally here, Afro Caribbean/Trinidadian and St Vincentian

Where do you think i am from.
i know i am african but where in africa do you think i come from
.My Grand mother is from Barbados, My Mother is from Trinidad and Tobago, My dad is from St Vincent.
I did the MyHeritageDNA testing kit and got my results.
i feel like some of them were brawd but the bulk of my results were just fine. im very pleased with my results.

67.5% is quite high but not very surprising given the fact that majority of black Trinidad and Barbados have very high percentage of Nigerian ancestry. I'm a Nigerian and we happily welcome into our family

Heritage is very limited in some ways with their data base. That Inuit is most likely Carb and Kalinago. Both these people still live in Trinidad and St Vincent

First off, I love your accent. Second, I'm not that surprised with your results. I tested with both MyHeritage and Ancestry and here are my results MyHeritage DNA: 78.7% African (Nigerian, West African, Sierra Leonean, Kenyan) 15.4% Irish, Scottish & Welsh 4.9% Mesoamerican & Andean 1% West Asian (Turkey...) Ancestry: 86% African (West, Central and South) 12% European (England, Ireland, Norway, Scotland & Greece) 2% Native American (1% Indigenous Mexico & 1% Indigenous North) I don't know about you, but I'm now confused! I know soon I will take 2 more different DNA tests from different companies. But hopefully I get some answers.

Eskimos are a branch of Inuits. Plus, My Heritage is supposed to update their Ethnicity Estimate data base later this year after a long period of not doing so. On Christmas Eve of December of 2020 they released their genetic groups.

If you know something about the British slave trade to the Caribbean you can have a good idea what to expect. While Myheritage may underestimate or not take into account many places of West Africa. Nigeria being a large % is historically big time plausible.

For example your Ghana if you have any will be misread as Ghana. Your Congolese if you have any will be misread as Nigeria & Kenya that 7. 4 is just whatever they decided not to lump in with Sierra Leone or Nigeria

MyHeritage is not a good Try Ancestry dna, they are the best ,have more data and give you update if needed, they add new data every year

Ancestrycom and 23andme are better, also have better larger african data base, you would be 300 percent more satisfied with ancestrycom and 23andme then myheritage who hasn't updated in 6 years while ancestrycom and 23andme have updated a more then a few times, plus they have more african regions then myheritage

Not exactly, the regions, percentages and community from MyHeritage seemed a little more accurate than Ancestry DNA. But I'm gonna test with 23andme and Family Tree DNA just to see. Besides, one company can produce more accurate results than the other.
