@@xmathmanx When I heard the guests talk about this experience of the void, it was familiar and I'm interested in common experiences had in these states. Somewhere I heard about simulating a form of sacred experience by blasting certain parts of the brain with high level magnetic fields through direct cranial stimulation but I don't think this is a kind of gimmick like that. What I described was just the opening act to a much larger experience. If we're talking about the utility of it, I always tell people it's like seeing the Grand canyon for the first time. It can be a profound, perspective changing, life altering experience or it can make for a nifty post on Instagram. The meaning that is applied and the consequent insights that are gained rests solely on the one having the experience. For me, I found Ayahuasca to be an effective catalyst towards personal insight. Language falls short when attempting to communicate these types of things. That alone is a deep insight into the limits of language and how those limits influence our understanding of the world. If you're able to, check for any history of mental illness in your family. Find a secure setting, approach it with positive intentions and take the ride. It's the only way to really know. ...or don't.

Why this need to dramatise? I’ve done ayahuasca 13 times, with and without a shaman, and only 2-3 times I got sick and vomited. IF you have very deeply rooted problems like addiction, depression and so on there may be a higher chance to experience challenges. But remember/know that Ayahuasca is a conscious medicine that will work in harmony with you. You will see what you are ready to see, and in some cases, it might humble you if you are in need of that.😅 10 points for bringing your suit btw.👌🏻

If you do enough med work you’ll realize that your stories and beliefs mean little to grandmother. She’s operating on a different wavelength than your conscious mind. She goes straight to your unconscious and into your body and works on that bc that’s what matters. Your conscious mind is on the leash. Your body and unconscious mind / psyche are the masters.

Having hands! Here my Hands on DMT cautionary tale! DMT, a condensed, intense method of taking one of the components of Aya, Dimethytriptamine sends one on a quick, warp speed trip that is typically over in 10 to 30 minutes. Always, when smoked the lore says to take three huge rips that you hold for as long as you can and let out slowly. Half way through the second hit, I become terrified of my hands and toss my bowl and light. Apparently this is common and it's wise to do DMT with a buddy who can be right there to catch your gear and help you get the third rip in so you don't get stuck in a weird situation. You want all three hits!
@francis5518
@francis5518 14 күн бұрын
I greatly discourage the "three hits approach", dosage of any substance has to be tailored to the person. You should always begin slow and progressively increase your dose, to test the ground. Do not just copy what others do because it worked for them. It is too personal. (I talk from experience, hurting myself bad). I agree with the buddy presence, tho :)
